00No matter who you are, no matter where you've been, and no matter where you are right now, you are welcome here, welcome to Daily Audio Bible Chronological. I'm Jill, and today is the 8th day of March. Welcome everyone, it's a brand new week, the start of something new, and who couldn't use something new, a chance to begin again, and again, and again. It's a joy to be here with you. Today, we continue with the book of Numbers, Reading Numbers, Chapter 31 and 32, because it's a brand new week, we're going to start a brand new translation today. This week, we read the English Standard Version, Numbers, Chapter 31. The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, avenge the people of Israel on the Midianites, afterward

02you shall be gathered to your people. So Moses spoke to the people, saying, arm men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian to execute the Lord's vengeance on Midian. You shall send a thousand from each of the tribes of Israel to the war. So there were provided, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand from each tribe, twelve thousand armed for war. And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand from each tribe, together with Phineas, the son of Alayazar, the priest, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand. A ward against Midian, as the Lord commanded Moses, and killed every male. They killed the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain, Yvai, Rechem, Zer, Her, and Reba, the five kings of Midian, and they also killed Bailem, the son of Bior, with the

03sword. And the people of Israel took captive the women of Midian and their little ones, and they took us plunder, all their cattle, their flocks, and all their goods, all their cities and the places where they lived, and to all their encampments, they burned with fire, and took all the spoil, and to all the plunder, both of man and of beast. Then they brought the captives, and the plunder, and the spoil to Moses, and to Alayazar, the priest, and to the congregation of the people of Israel, at the camp on the plains of Moab, or the Jordan, at Jericho. Moses and Alayazar, the priest, and all the chiefs of the congregation, went to meet them outside the camp, and Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the commanders of thousands, and the commanders of hundreds who had come from service in the war. Moses said to them, Have you let all the women live? Behold these unbalms advice, cause the people of Israel to act treacherously against the

10Lord in the incident of pure, and so the plague came among the congregation of the Lord. Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. With all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves, and camp outside the camp seven days, whoever of you has killed any person, and whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves, and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day, you shall purify every garment, every article of skin, all work of goats hair, and every article of wood. Then L.A.'s are the priests, said to the men in the army who had gone to battle. This is the statute of the law that the Lord has commanded Moses. Only the gold, the silver, the bronze, the iron, the tin, and the lead. Everything that can stand the fire, you shall pass through the fire, and it shall be clean.

15Nevertheless, it shall also be purified with the water for impurity, and whatever cannot stand the fire, you shall pass through the water. You must wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you shall be clean. And afterward, you may come into the camp. The Lord said to Moses, Take the count of the plunder that was taken both of man and of beast. You and L.A.'s are the priest, and the heads of the father's houses of the congregation, and divide the plunder into two parts between the warriors who went out to battle, and to all the congregation. And levee for the Lord, a tribute from the men of war who went out to battle, one out of five hundred of the people, and of the oxen, and of the donkeys, and of the flocks. Take it from their half, and give it to L.A.'s are the priest as a contribution to the Lord. And from the people of Israel's half, you shall take one drawn out of every fifty of the people of the oxen, of the donkeys, and of the flocks, of all the cattle, and give them

19to the Levites who keep guard over the tapernacle of the Lord. And Moses and L.A.'s are the priest, did as the Lord commanded Moses. And the plunder remaining of the spoil that the army took was six hundred and seventy-five thousand sheep, seventy-two thousand cattle, sixty-one thousand donkeys, and thirty-two thousand persons in all, women who had not known man by lying with him. And the half, the portion of those who had gone out in the army, numbered three hundred and thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep. And the Lord's tribute of sheep was six hundred and seventy-five. The cattle were thirty-six thousand, of which the Lord's tribute was seventy-two. The donkeys were thirty-thousand five hundred of which the Lord's tribute was sixty-one. The persons were sixteen thousand of which the Lord's tribute was thirty-two persons. And Moses gave the tribute which was the contribution for the Lord, to L.A.'s are the priests,

21as the Lord commanded Moses. From the people of Israel's half, which Moses separated from that of the men who had served in the army, now the congregation's half was three hundred and thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep, thirty-six thousand cattle, and thirty-thousand five hundred donkeys, and sixteen thousand persons. From the people of Israel's half, Moses took one of every fifty, both of persons and of beasts, and gave them to the Levites who kept guard over the tabernacle of the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses. Then the officers who were over the thousands of the army, the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds, came near to Moses and said to Moses, your servants have counted the men of war who are under our command, and there is not a man missing from us. And we have brought the Lord's offering, what each man found, articles of gold, armlets and bracelets, signet rings, earrings and beads, to make atonement for ourselves before

23the Lord, and Moses and L.A.'s are the priests received from them the gold all crafted articles. And all the gold of the contribution that they presented to the Lord from the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shackles. The men in the army had each taken plunder for himself, and Moses and L.A.'s are the priests received the gold from the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tent of meeting as a memorial for the people of Israel before the Lord. Now the people of Rubin and the people of Gad had a very great number of livestock, and they saw the land of Jayzer and the land of Giliad and behold, the place was a place for livestock. So the people of Gad and the people of Rubin came and said to Moses, and to L.A.'s are the priests and to the chiefs of the congregation. Deban, Jayzer, Nimra, Heshban, Eliayla, Cebam, Nibbo, and Beyond.

29The land that the Lord struck down before the congregation of Israel is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock. And they said, if we have found favor in your site, let this land be given to your servants for a possession. Do not take us across the Jordan. But Moses said to the people of Gad and to the people of Rubin, show your brothers go to the war while you sit here, why will you discourage the heart of the people of Israel from going over into the land that the Lord has given them? Your fathers did this when I sent them from Kadesh, Barnia, to see the land. For when they went up to the valley of Eshkal and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the people of Israel from going into the land that the Lord had given them. The Lord's anger was kindled on that day, and he swore, saying, surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt from 20 years old and upward, shall see the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, because they have not wholly followed me.

33None except Caleb, the son of Jaffana, the Kinazai, and Joshua, the son of none, where they have wholly followed the Lord. And the Lord's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness 40 years until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the Lord was gone. And behold, you have risen in your father's place, a brood of sinful men, to increase still more the fierce anger of the Lord against Israel. Or if you turn away from following him, he will again abandon them in the wilderness, and you will destroy all this people. Then they came near to him and said, we will build sheepfolds here for our livestock and cities for our little ones, but we will take up arms ready to go before the people of Israel until we have brought them to their place, and our little ones shall live in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

35We will not return to our homes until each of the people of Israel has gained his inheritance. For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan to the east. So Moses said to them, if you will do this, if you will take up arms to go before the Lord for the war, and every armed man of you will pass over the Jordan before the Lord, till he has driven out his enemies from before him, and the land is subdued before the Lord. Then after that you shall return and be free of obligation to the Lord and to Israel, and this land shall be your possession before the Lord. But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out. Build cities for your little ones and folds for your sheep, and do what you have promised. And the people of God and the people of Rubin said to Moses, your servants will do as my

36Lord commands. Our little ones, our wives, our livestock, and all our cattle shall remain there in the cities of Gilead. But your servants will pass over every man who was armed for war before the Lord to battle as my Lord orders. So Moses gave command concerning them to Eleas are the priest and to Joshua the son of Dunn, and to the heads of the father's houses of the tribes of the people of Israel, and Moses said to them, if the people of God and the people of Rubin, every man who is armed to battle before the Lord will pass with you over the Jordan, and the land shall be subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession. However, if they will not pass over you with armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan, and the people of God and the people of Rubin answered. What the Lord has said to your servants, we will do.

36We will pass over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan, and Moses gave to them to the people of God, and to the people of Rubin, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amirites, and the kingdom of Agh, king of Bashan, the land and its cities with their territories, the cities of the land throughout the country, and the people of God built Devon, Adaroth, Aror, Hroth, Shofan, Jayzer, Jagbah, Beth Nimra, and Beth Haran, fortified cities, and folds for sheep, and the people of Rubin built Hesbon, Aliela, Karyatham, Nibo, and Belle Meon, their names were changed, and Sibba, and they gave other names to the cities that they built, and the sons of Makar, the son of Manasseh, went to Giliad and captured it, and dispossessed the Amirites who were in it,

42and Moses gave Giliad to make the son of Manasseh, and he settled in it, and Jair, the son of Manasseh went and captured their villages, and called them Havoth, Jair, and Noba went and captured Kienath and its villages, and called it Noba, after his own name. Jesus we thank you for your word, thank you for this brand new week, thank you for the reminder that we can begin again, again, and again, and again, no matter what we've done, we can turn from our ways, from our evil, from our sin, we can run to you, repent and you are faithful and just, to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We give you this week, give us ears to hear, give us eyes to see and give us hearts that are open, moldable, pliable, so that you can do all that you long to do in us through

45us among us. May we be recipients of love, where love can flow from us to those that are in need of the love of a Savior. We love you, and we worship you, and I pray this all in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen. Looking forward to a beautiful week together with each and every one of you in the Word of God, we'll turn the page together tomorrow. I'm Jill. Until then, love one another. Good morning, my family. I just want to report a crazy part of first Jill. I am 75 and just a couple weeks ago, my whole body was shutting down my heart, candy and liver, but I have so many people praying for me when I was in the hospital, and within one day, the Lord healed me and brought after they shocked my heart, my everything, returned

48back to normal, my candy and liver within two days came back online exactly where they should be. And so I thank you, Lord, for healing my body. It was such a blessing, and now I'm having some issues with my left eye. I just need that as from prayers to heal it, it's just blurry out there, surgery. And I just thank you, Lord, for just taking care of me, until I help you and your family have a great time in Israel. Lord, I just hope that you give you praise and reports. Just thank you to everybody who have prayed for me. And I just again, thank you, Lord, for healing my body. Thank you. Bye-bye. God bless. Father, God, I come before your presence, with thanksgiving in my heart, with praise,

49you God, only to you, the Lord. Glory for yourself, Father, God, may all these be for your glory and for your honor, as you heal your children, the Lord, as you hear our prayers, Father. Thank you for putting your ears and our lips, Father, and listening to every word that comes out from our mouth, Father. I come before your throne, Lord, in the name of Jesus, I pray for Deborah, to His dealing, your God, with this sickness, cancer, sickness, Father, God, I pray, the Lord, that you please visit her. Lord, she's scared, and she's afraid this courage, please wrap your arms around her and give a peace to the Lord and help her throughout this journey that she's going through, Father. You believe in your Word, but your Word says, by your strife we've been healed. You carried it all. You carry every cancer, to God, every disease at the cross, Father. By your strife, Father, we've been healed, and I pray to God that you put your hands upon

53Deborah and heal her. I help her go through this journey, the Lord, only you know everything. You know why we have to go through things like this, Father, God, in the name of Jesus, I pray. I will keep her in my prayers, Father. Thank you for my community, thank you for my siblings. One day, the God will be together in heaven if we stay strong, if we continue to do the right thing in your eyes, Father, for you are coming soon to get to get your church, your people, Father. In the name of Jesus, I pray for your daughter. Please visit her. Please touch her and speak to her the way you know how. He is a strength to give his dear Father strength in him. He trusts in you, Jesus. Good morning. It's Nevin calling in here from Denmark. I just wanted to ask for prayer. A good friend of her family lost his wife last year on March 7th.

01He committed suicide and it's been really hard for him and his children. They moved away from home so he's living alone and it's really hard for him and he is not showing up in church as much anymore. He's grieving so much and his children are grieving so much. So if you could pray for them, for Jesus to give them strength and for them to feel that he is right there with them, even though it might not feel like it right now. So if you could pray for the family, that would be so awesome. They could really use a lot of prayer right now as well.

07So yeah, thank you so much. Hey, Dad, see family. This is Christian and Kate Karstemy and I am listening to Brian and Jill talking on Deb C on the fourth and it just hits me how God just orchestrates everything and uses everything for his glory. They don't, you know, they wanted to be home. They thought they would be home but they're not. But it just so happens that where they are right now in the Holy Land is where we are in the scriptures and it just blows me away how God does that, how the Lord just knits everything together for his glory and for our welfare.

09And I know that Brian, Jill and his ego, they're going through a difficult time but they're making the most of it. And you know, we as the dabbers who care about them, you know, we're going through something with them but on the other side, we're going to come out stronger and the Lord is just using all of this for his glory but I want to pray for them, Brian, Jill and Ezekiel, I just pray angels of protection around them. I pray that the Lord would make a way for them to travel home, that their travel plans would go smoothly, they would make all their flights and then they would just be home very soon and sleeping in their own beds. And we just pray all these things in your mighty, matchless name, Jesus. Amen. Thanks, Deb.

10Community. Hello, D.A.B.C. My family, this is Resting in God's Shadow, I just first want to say, I have thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed all of the, whatever this is, commentaries, all the things from the Israel and Jordan trips. Thank you so much, Brian and Jill, for doing that. It's truly such a blessing and such a joy. I also want to just pray for your safety. I thank you, Heavenly Father, that you have kept them safe. I thank you, Heavenly Father, that you have put people in their lives that are giving them guidance and helping them with navigating this exceedingly difficult situation and just keeping them safe all the way around. I pray, Heavenly Father, that you continue to sustain them and provide for them, Heavenly Father, in all the ways, spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally, they're tired.

11They're exhausted. They just long for home in their family, in their own beds, and that's real. I mean, that's real. When you get to an end of a trip and you want to go home, boy, that's tough, it's, there's not too much more that will satisfy that urge. So Heavenly Father, I thank you so much that you're keeping them safe. I thank you that you are providing for them. I thank you, Heavenly Father, just for all that you're doing, keep your head to protection around them, Father, and I also pray for travel mercies. I pray that you make the way clear and you make the way known to them on how they are to go about getting back home and getting home the safest way possible. Thank you so much, Heavenly Father, for paving the way for them. It is in Jesus mighty name, I pray, Amen.

11Amen.
