I'm one of those people who will happily eat steak at eggs any time of the day. Breakfast, dinner, it's technically midnight, but I'm still hungry. Doesn't matter, there's just something unbeatable about a good steak hitting a hot pan. That immediate sizzle, the smell filling the kitchen, and then topping it with the fried egg, where the yolk is deep yellow, and just barely runny, unreal, pure protein heaven. That's also why I love having Omaha steaks on hand. The steaks are incredibly tender, super flavorful, and cook evenly, whether I'm searing them on the stovetop or throwing them on the grill. It's that steakhouse quality bite at home. Omaha steaks has everything from their fan favorite filet mignon. Yes, the USDA certified tender one, to burgers, chicken, pork, seafood, and even fully cooked comfort meals, like beef pot roast, or meat lovers lasagna. For nights when you still want high protein, but zero effort,

You guys starting to see some of the photos coming in of the damage from those of you who saw really, really big hail. I think it was Parkville that posted this on their Facebook page. Their cruisers back windows are completely smashed out. Not dinged, not cracked, just glass. Bye-bye. So there won't be a lot of arrested in Parkville today. Well, it's going to be more of an open air concept when you are arrested. We're going to be walking to the station house. We're going to be more open air. God. So the Big 12 men's basketball tournament is underway at the T-Mobile Center.

It's not without a little bit of controversy. I must confess. Story here from the Kansas City star. Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark had to expect there would be a lot of talk about the new court that is being used at the conference tournament. It is glass. It's really cool. Yeah. Do not go to the Big 12 tournament if you have epilepsy. You will have a seizure. But Yormark probably was not expecting fans to rail about the ugly design or coach Bill Self to express his concern about it being slippery or for a player to blame the court for causing him a migraine. The last of those came Tuesday night after the Wildcats lost 105 to 91 to BYU as the men's tournament started at T-Mobile Center. Is it so LED... Like disco flashy that it's causing... Potentially. During the opening games, statistics were displayed on the court.

There were other cool graphics on the LED floor. It was quite a difference, though, from the women's tournament. And that has upset at least one women's coach. Are they not doing the same graphics for the women as they were for the men? Well, the women's tournament is over. The K-State Women's Basketball Coach Jeff Mitty called out the Big 12 for what he sees as a double standard. Standard. Just left the men's Big 12 conference tournament game wrote Mitty on Twitter. There were many graphics done on the court that were not done for our tournament. The Big 12 should do better for our women's basketball players. I didn't see all the games if I'm wrong. Let me know. Mitty is not alone. Others noticed the difference how the court was being used during the men's tournament compared to the women's. Happy International Women's Month. Is it? Yeah. Monday was International Women's Day Sunday, pardon me, International Women's Day.

Hmm. The floor looks stupid. I can't stand the chicken scratch feet on the bottom of it still. But I like the concept. I love the concept. If they can, you don't want players dropping with sharp knife-stabbing pain in their skulls because of what's going on below their feet. Can we just display a basketball court? Then what's the point in even having an LED court? During the breaks. During the breaks. But while ball is going on, while passes are being made and balls are being dribbled and shot into the bucket, just give me a hard work. Just the floor. Just the floor. Isn't that what they're doing? They're not putting up graphics while the teams are playing, right? The inside of the three-point line is like a Heather Gray. The outside of the three-point line is a little bit darker, Heather Gray. Yeah. In lighter Heather Gray, you've got the XII that Dana loves to call chicken feet all over the floor. It looks like chicken feet. It does. It looks horrible.

Put a basketball court on there. Just a regular hard wood. I'll send you the JPEG. Just a regular hard wood. Looks like boards. Yeah. Looks like boards. A wooden floor. So are you anti the glass or are you saying it looks stupid? Oh, could this vintage store be any cuter? Right. And the best part? They accept discover. Accept discover. In a little place like this? I don't think so, Jennifer. Oh yeah, huh. Discover's accepted where I like to shop. Come on, baby. Get with the times. Right. So we shouldn't get the parachute pants? These are making a comeback. I think. Discover is accepted at 99% of places that take credit cards nationwide. Based on the February 2025 Nilsen report. Spring times the perfect time to turn the page and refresh your home style. I think the glass is fine. So long as they can texture it appropriately, so that kids aren't slipping and breaking an ankle. And so that. Can you imagine you guys the first time somebody seems like fault. Oh, it's going to be bad. But the concept again, to Dana's point, love the concept. Just give me a run of the middle basketball court while play is going on. And you're saying only put graphics up there, like during player introduction. Yep. When you go to commercial break,

you can put some stats or an advertisement out there. Sure. Also, and fair point from the text line, the players hate it. The lighting affects their site and makes it harder to see the ball in the basket. That's a great point. While there is glare off of a shiny hardwood floor, it's not a light shining at you. Right. I don't know that it affects their ability to see the basket. T-C-U, or check that BYU score to 105 points last night. It was dominant performance. 105 points. What is this? The NBA? They clearly were not having trouble seeing the basket. Speaking of setting records in basketball, did you see that there is now a new contender for the most point scored in a single game? No. He is now number two knocking Kobe Bryant down to the third place slot, scoring 83 points in a single game for the Miami Heat last night. 83 points. His name is Bam. I can't remember his last name. Well, it should be Bam. Because that's just what they kept saying.

Wow. Bam. Yeah. Now, a nondescript, and I'm not an NBA fan, so maybe this is a huge player, and I just don't know him, but I had never heard his name before. A nondescript NBA player is now listed in the same category as Wilt Chamberlain and Kobe Bryant. That's awesome. Good try. And by the way, they spelled Kobe Bryant K-O-B-Y, and I'm going to need to call that news organization and yell at them. Good for them. Good for them. See the Chiefs officially welcome Travis Kelsey back. So that is happening for that we are thrilled. Also in our stack, and this is leftover from yesterday, but I think we'll mention when we come back, a former Chiefs player, a linebacker, in an awful case, has been charged with killing his girlfriend, okay? No. That's not good. Authorities say it really was an electronic footprint that pointed directly back at this individual, because he asked chat GPT for advice. On how to kill your girlfriend?

You name it? He asked. We're going to talk about that when we come back. I said this in the newsroom. When someone is actively typing in, what do I tell 911 I just killed my girlfriend? Does that not get red flag somewhere? Do you not? Well, well, well, well, well, save it. How do I dispose of a body? You know, those types of searches, like the Casey Anthony type of searches. So you want the government? No, that's not what I'm saying. No, that's not what I'm saying. No, that's not what I'm saying. That's what it's not. You key words strung together. Well, how else would they see that? Oh. If they weren't monitoring. You want the government monitoring your online search. No, that's not what I'm saying. Yes, we're very direct. Am I not, am I innocent of the crimes I haven't committed? You are. I mean, it was Prince who once said, if I'm guilty for the thoughts that go on in my mind, give me the electric chair for all my future crimes.

Why would anyone ask GPT how to hide a body? How to murder all those things, unless you're writing a book. I am writing my thesis for my PhD in criminology. We'll get to it in just a moment here. That's one example here on Damon Parks. I can think of a million. Thanks for listening to the Dana and Parks podcast. Remember, you can catch us online anytime at KMBZ.com.
