Cyclones Close Season Strong, Earn Multiple Honors

0:00On March 3rd, the Iowa State Cyclones, women's basketball team wrapped up their regular season with a strong 22 wins and 8 losses. This marks the 5th straight year they've hit at least 21 victories. They close on a high note with a 93-79 win over Kansas State. Adi Crooks lit up that final game with 41 points. It was her 5th time topping 40 points in a career game, tying Brittany Griner for the most in Big 12 history. Crooks earned a spot on the all Big 12 first team as one of three unanimous picks. Her teammate, Jada Williams, joined her on the first team after transferring from Arizona. Williams led the conference with 7.7 assists per game, while averaging 15.5 points. Iowa State now joins TCU and Kansas as teams with multiple first team selections. Junior Guard Arianna Jackson rounded out the honors as Big 12 scholar athlete of the year. She started all 27 games, contributing nearly 7 points and close to three rebounds each
