Creative Mentoring Program Success in Jewellery Quarter Academy

0:00On March 2nd, Jewel Recorder Academy is marking the success of its creative mentoring program. Run with partner Recreate Now during half-term. Over four days, students dove into creative activities designed to build confidence and teamwork through drama and arts. Mentors from Recreate Now highlighted the young people's strong listening skills and mutual support, which set a positive tone for everyone involved. This momentum is carrying forward to a new after-school club starting Wednesday, the 4th of March, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. The head teacher noted how the students' engagement showed the school's growing positive culture, helping kids gain confidence and express themselves. Better? The Academy aims to offer broad opportunities for students from all backgrounds. Recreate Now, funded by the Million Hours Fund, uses evidence-based arts to foster personal growth and relationships. They've worked with the school before on similar drama programs to boost emotional skills and collaboration.
