On March 24, a 42-year-old ground worker from Coventry, named Muhammad Durnian, was convicted of manslaughter this week in the death of, 33-year-old mother Riann Colson. Bodycam video captured him pointing out her shallow grave in nearby Binley Woods, five weeks after police overlooked her body stashed under a mattress, in his cluttered flat. Last May 21, a neighbor called 999 around 1126 PM after hearing a woman scream and fear from Durnian's place. Officers arrived just 12 minutes later, but left empty-handed, missing Colson's body wrapped in a duvet amid the rubbish and chaos. Durnian, high on cocaine at the time, had killed her within minutes of bringing the vulnerable woman home. The case has left Colson's family heartbroken, with detectives calling it shocking and appalling. West Midlands Police reviewed their initial search, found no misconduct but some learning opportunities, and shared their regrets directly with her. Love ones throughout the investigation.

Durnian's co-defendant, 39-year-old Adam Moore, was also convicted by the same jury majority for helping move and bury the body in a, suitcase. They tried Bernie and with petrol-the-hide evidence, but her phone signal traced the trip from the flat to the woods. As sentencing looms this Thursday at War at Crown Court, the focus stays on delivering justice for Riann and supporting those forever changed by.
