Council CEO, Councillor Face Alleged Misuse Charges

Headburn Shire Council says the case against Bradley Thomas and Don Henderson is moving forward as a private prosecution with no police involvement. Counselor Henderson has been stood down under the local government act of 2020. Meanwhile, CEO Thomas is not required to step aside and will keep his role during the process. The council is handling this seriously and express disappointment over the claims. Still, it fully backs both men as they address the situation. A rate-payer group called Council Watch Victoria posted online that the summons relates to supposed misuse of council funds for legal costs. That organization has drawn complaints of harassment from counselors statewide. Details remain unverified, including the exact charges and court date at Ballarat Magistrates Court. The matter is ongoing with no public investigation so far.
