Cotter's OT Goal Lifts Devils Over Bruins

To a 4-3 win over the Boston Bruins on Monday night, it marked Cotter's first National Hockey League overtime goal, assisted by Jack Hughes. Hughes dished out three assists in the game, pushing his career total to 402 points and making him the fastest player in Devils history. To reach 400, doing so in just 414 games, he broke the old mark previously held by Kirk Muller. The Devils improved at 34 wins, 31 losses and two overtime losses, wrapping up a teen record seven game homestand with a strong five, wins, two losses and no ties.
