Connor Bedard: New Blackhawks Leader

The 20-year-old star forward is now wearing an alternate captain's A for the rest of the season after three key veterans got traded away in the past week. He's leading the team with 57 points, including 25 goals and 32 assists in 48 games. Earlier this season, Bedard already wore the A during an injury absence for one of those vets. He marked his first time with it by scoring a hat trick and a five-to-two win over the Calgary Flames back on November 18. Coach Jeff Blasio made it official on Tuesday, saying Baderd earned it through his total commitment to winning. Teammates and team leaders have noticed his growth.
