Commanders Re-sign Tunsil, Fortify Line for Daniels

0:00On March 9th, the Washington commanders have resigned their starting left tackle, Laramie Tunsell, to a two-year deal they keep some under contract. Through the 20-28 season, Tunsell turns 32 this summer and put up elite numbers last year, ranking second and pass blocking while allowing just two sacks and 15, quarterback pressures over 14 games. He's a five-time pro bowl pick, and this contract is reportedly worth $60.2 million, including a record, $32.5 million signing bonus for an offensive lineman. This move locks down protection for franchise quarterback Jaden Daniels, especially with versatile linemen like Nick Allegretti and Andrew Wiley also. Back in the fold, Allegretti might shift to center, rounding out a stronger unit alongside guys like Sam Cosmi and Josh Connerley. The team showed out plenty to get Tunsell from Houston a year ago, trading multiple draft picks including a second rounder this year.
