Ole Jonas coming up at eight o'clock. We'll discuss upcoming draft plans for the Washington commanders who were busy yesterday in free agency adding to the roster bringing

08in talent from outside teams. They were a day two and day three team. All the people that were killing Adam Peters jumping the gun after literally two hours. Two hours on Monday. They were killing him. Now all of a sudden it's filled in a lot of spaces. Fill in some holes. Yeah, took care of the offense a little bit by bringing in Jake Conqual. He is a turp. He's now coming back home. They brought in two turps and they brought in the math the stag. We should almost take them one last time. The last time the de math the stag played for the commanders. West book. There was a West. Well, you're talking about Nick Cross. I thought next gen stats. It was almost like they were the PR arm of the Washington commanders yesterday. So I have a bunch of next gen stats on some of the guys they picked up for Nick Cross. He signs a two year deal. He was number one in most run stops in the NFL for a safety that resulted in an unsuccessful play. I don't know how they

13define it. But the guys beneath him included Huffanga, Jeremy Chin. He was numero uno the best in those run stops. Yeah, he's really good at that and then really good. He's a big dude. Yeah, he's big. And then they had a great he's a great kid. He's a picture of him and chick together in the NFL. Yeah, he's got at it. And he almost looks bigger than chick. He's a big dude. Yeah, they had also a stat regarding Chanel who they picked up on day two, the linebacker from the chiefs. He's my favorite. And so people are raving about his athletic score and that's great. But next gen stats put out a lowest mistackle rate. He was number one in the NFL in lowest mid. I think last year was four tackles. Yeah, it was something like that. It says 5.2% mistackle rate lowest among linebackers since the start of 2023. He lined it linebacker on 45.28% of the

16snaps. And on the line is scrimmage on 49.1% of the snaps in that span. So I was he's unbelievable that I was more impressed by the video of him jumping and scaling the bus during the the chiefs Super Bowl parade. Yeah, on the street just jumps grabs the metal metal bar scales at like his Alex Hamilton and then two seconds later he's up on top of the bus with everybody else slamming beers. And of course yesterday they added an edge Caleb on chase on kind of Dernar show. And that goes with Odafah Oway. Both of the guys had 52 pressures on the quarterback which is double the leader for the commanders last year, which was drawn pain with 28. Yeah, I don't know. It's Armstrong had 25 and missed a bunch of games. But yeah, 52 pressures from both of those guys. I think we significantly upgraded the past rush. I think there's a question about it and the tackling has to develop the tackling. They have to do it. Yeah, but they also brought

19into what was obviously a huge the fish. They also brought in a depth guy. I don't know when this happened, but Charles and Menohu from the chiefs. I think that happened around 839 o'clock. I was already fine in the bed. I saw it this morning. So the big thing is they just achieved their goals. We put it up as our poll of the day. How would you grade what they've done so far? If you look at the hall of seven free agents or poll the day brought to you by surf side, use the code junks at store.statesidevodka.com. You get 25% off all merchandise. That's T-shirts, hats, hoodies, and more. You get a cooler junks at store.statesidevodka.com. Do you have them A, B, C, or D or lower? They're definitely a B. And when they sign IU later today when it gets released, it's going to go up to B plus A. The thing that they did is they got younger and faster. Everybody said get younger and faster. They did. This is from Ben Standig. He's got ages and they're 40 time. Away 27 years old, ran a 436. It's pretty good. Meek Robertson 28 of 445.

22Leo Chanel 25, ran a 453. A Conquo 26, ran a 452. By the way, these are big dudes too. And Nick Ross, just 24, ran a 434. I mean, it's just blazing fast. These are big guys. Super fast. Settling chase on for some reason, then on the 40 information, but both guys are under 30. Right. Yeah. So they stuck to that theme of younger and faster. I love the fact they're getting younger. Like this team would just, they were old and slow. I was trying to get Nick Ross's personal information, contact information, because I wanted to try and get him on the show. Now, this is before he signed with Washington. Right. Just because he's a damathe guy. So I went through some damathe connections, got his cell. And the guy who gave me the number said, yeah, it looks like the bangles are really on him. I said, I'm just hoping that Washington signs him. And this was a couple days ago. And then of course, yesterday, it comes out that Washington signs him. So it's very cool. I'm looking forward to watching. He's a boy guy. He's a boy guy. He's very nice.

26Put a nugget about his musical talent. My brother texted me immediately. He said, you know, Nick was in the wind ensemble, tenor sacks. And just, I know no one cares. Well, you're a tenor sacks, isn't it? No, that was an alto sack. It's literally one of the best bands in the country for the last 50 years. It's just there aren't, there aren't, there's maybe one hand, bands that rival it. It's not even close. When you hear the level of music, band flexing, band or flexing. Yeah. I'm not like it's a number one. Do you know. I'm like, I'm like, carry one. I'm just telling you, he's a multi talented guy. I just care that he knocks dudes heads off on Sunday. That's all important. I'm just telling you what it tells you is what I was telling draft before the show. It shows he's down to earth guy. He's a good kid. He's a good kid. Yeah. There's a lot of them go through. It's a massive program. Of course. He's one that that went through the program. Pretty cool. One hundred six, three, six, one, six, seven,

26even chime in. Yeah. I just was thinking, I mean, people were acting like the sky was falling on Monday. Uh-huh. The first few hours were freaking out. You're freaking out a little bit. But then when they signed it, uh, away, it got a little better. It got a little bit better. But I mean, remember when we did the show on Tuesday, kind of the word of the day for everybody was either underwhelmed or disappointing. Underwhelming was my day. Tuesday was a super slow day. Did he even make any signings on Tuesday? I think a layer is the linebacker. Okay. So Chanel. But on Tuesday, when we were doing the show, we were recapping Monday. Right. Right. Let's go on Monday. It was Monday because people wanted them to sign Kenneth Walker. People wanted them to, uh, you know, make some big splash, like a train from Axe Crosby or whatever, wanted something big. And it was smaller moves. Yeah. Yeah. Let's go around the room. What's your favorite signing? My favorite, I'm telling you, I know yours is changed. We don't have to go to you. Yeah. You're, you're a chick. My, and I like that. My favorite is Chanel by far. He's just the most

29intriguing. I think he has the biggest, maybe upside, the most versatile. I'm sure a lot of people like away, uh, Nick Cross, Nick Cross. Okay. I'll go away because I might win money because he was one of my picks. Okay. When we said, here are the four guys they're going to take a money. But I think cakes might have it away too. I think we might share in the pot. We'll chop it. Like if we look at it, I'm ready to chop. Yeah. Have fun with the G50. Yeah. I don't think I had any of these guys. No, it'd be $5 each. Oh, that's right. Because he did. Yeah. It's going to be high. I got to say with higher stakes. Yeah. Yeah. So I think cakes and I win five bucks each. Here's why you know, I'll say you in the fall. I'm most excited about chick because listen to this garbage pale collection of quarterbacks that were throwing into ball and Tennessee. Ryan Tannahill, Malik Willis, when Malik Willis stunk, Josh Dobbs, uh, Will Levis Mason Rudolph and Cam Ward is a rookie. Now he gets a massive quarterback upgrade. And let's be honest, not a lot of competition in the tight end room. I know we're going to have Logan Paulson on the show later.

32So he loves his guy. He was his favorite going. I would say this when you just kind of talk about grades for free agent grades, I would give Peters an A for the defensive upgrades. But you know, he's at a C or C minus right now for offense. So maybe overall, you're at a B. He still has work to do on the offensive side. No doubt. Yeah. I mean, they've got to do some things offensive. Now he's in the bargain basement bin. Yeah. Well, it's also it completely frees up. This is what you wanted. It frees up the draft so they can really maybe they focus on remade. That's true. There's defensive end slash edge room. So they don't have to be desperate to land one of those guys at seven. Right. Chris Rodriguez signed with the Jaguars. I'm happy. So you're not going to fall back on Seara. I like him a lot, but I'm happy for him. Yeah. I mean, when he had, when he got the ball, he produced. Yeah. I'm happy for him. People didn't respect him enough around here. I hope he goes. He's going to be coaching. He's going to be a solid like second or two behind Tutan. Right. Which is great. Yeah. Because here he was an afterthought. I mean, he would he would play great. And then they'd he'd be enacted next week. This respected here. Be honest with you. So I hope he goes over there.

36And you know, he's done the roster every week and he gets carries every week and. But to Jason's point offensively, at least right now, because they can add IU. There's been one addition and that's it tight end and they've lost running backs and they've lost a center and they've lost the guard. Yeah. They've got some work to do. Yep. Yep. They do. Although has Chris Paul signed elsewhere. I don't think so. The only got there's only had one one skin that's signed elsewhere. And that's at least as of yesterday afternoon. Yeah. I know. The Chris Paul is signed. So I mean, you can always bring them back or they just like Brandon Coleman, who they drafted. Right. Chris Paul beat out Coleman last year. I think they like Paul too. But the market may be too high. I like the market. Maybe the market isn't as high as people thought if he hasn't signed yet. And people who were freaking out about letting Biotis go without a plan. I saw Allegretti. Some reporter was talking to him. And Allegretti said, I always prefer but being a center.

38Yeah. So that's great. That doesn't mean he's gonna be as good as Biotis. Whatever. But maybe he's close. I think they think they're similar. I think they think that Allegretti and Biotis are similar. Not to say that that's good enough. I think they want an upgrade there. There is also talk that Coleman can play anywhere, including center. Okay. So but I think they're gonna get they're gonna get another one. I think they want to get another one. I do think everything they did and we said this before. Everything they did frees up the draft to draft offense. Totally. Completely. Totally. They can go. It's exciting. They want to take. But see here's the seven they can. They can take love if he falls to seven to say it. Let's assume love is gone. Do that. I mean, they could obviously go receiver there. But let's just say. Tates gone in the top six. Yep. And I don't know if they go Jordan Tyson. I don't know if they take him that high. Can't imagine there's another receiver. They're gonna take right there at seven. So they may still stick with defense. I mean, it could be Caleb Downs. That's what sunny side. Now they've got now they've got cross and

41downs. It's safety. Right. I mean, that's there's that's a good secondary right there. Yeah, I think they're better football team right now than they were. Certainly defensively. Yeah. But I mean, let's just assume Jaden stays healthy. All that sucked last year. Yeah, that's just assume Jaden stays healthy for most of the season. They're just they're just gonna be better naturally. If he gets hurt and plays like five games, we get his seriously evaluate where we're going. Yeah, it's gonna be a big problem. Now, I know burrow has had injuries like two out of five years or whatever. It happens, but he needs to stay healthy. 1-800-636-1067. I think you got to like the direction of everything that Adam Peterson's team has done. It might not have been as splashy as people would have liked. Day one was underwhelming in that they were targeting Alec Pierce and they didn't get Alec Pierce. And you can look at some of the guys they targeted mostly offensively, right? That they whiffed on whether it was Pierce, Romeo, Dobbs. But in totality, the seven guys they have who are young, who are fast, they should make the team better. I think in a few years,

46we're going to look back at the Alec Pierce deal as a massive overpay. I said that. I think they said that on Monday. I think it was a pretty good possibility that that's going to be the way we view it. I agree. Because I don't see him as an 80 90 catch guy from 150 hundred yards. I just don't see him turning into that. Probably right. I can be wrong. It may be an expanded role. Maybe he does turn into that because he is a young player. But I think that was a big overpay by the Colts. And I still am weirded out by the fact that he could have left, but he chose to link himself to Daniel Jones, who I don't think is very good. Well, he played well for them. And if he likes him, so I mean, that's his experience. His experience was a good experience. Yeah, I guess. I mean, remember, Daniel Jones also had, I think it was his first year in New York, which is good. So Daniel Jones has had years where people have mocked him. But he's also had at least two good years. Not just one. He's had two. Yeah, but nobody ever call him an elite quarterback. That's fine. Nobody necessarily calls Jared golf at elite quarterback, but he's very good. He's more elite than

47Daniel Jones. Okay, but he's in that next level. He's, you know, just not a day Jones guy. I'm never going to bake salt. But it's not like it's going to be tough to convince the other teams are offering $10 million more per year, right? People weren't. I was a Sam Darnell guy before it was popular to be a Sam Darnell guy because because he played for Ock. You boy, bitch, from the junkies. And when I needed a new HVAC system water heater and a some pump, I called Foley Mechanical Dan Foley, the owner came out himself, not some faceless company owned by private equity. I predict that a huge year for him in Minnesota.

52I was on the train early. You didn't whiff on your predictions. I thought I'd because I went all for the big guys. I'm looking at it right now. So on Monday and cakes called into the show, I don't have your list in front of me, but I remember you did take away. I did. I had a list. Bishop, I believe. I will offer. Hendrickson, dobs, brisker, dowdl. Yeah. I took away. Juan Jennings, Devon Lloyd, Kenneth Walker. I mean, Jennings could still happen. It could. They wanted. And for him, Hendrickson could still happen. This is unlikely, right? E.B. Jalen Phillips. Hendrickson. Hendrickson is with the Ravens. That's right. He's your brain. Okay. The whole max crossby thing. Jalen Phillips, Linderbaum, Quay Walker, but I did. I wish I'd put chick on my list. So it's a three-way chop of Jason's five dollars. I couldn't have been big enough because I think they were in on two

53of my guys. They were in on Linderbaum. And they were in. Did I put peers in there? No, Phillips. They did talk to Phillips. I don't know how serious he was. If we were betting on guys, the commanders were in on you'd be leading the pack. That's right. That wasn't the parameter of the back. That's right. But I was there. I'll never you boys. Dollar, whatever, dollar, seven dollars, thirty-three or whatever it is. I don't need that. Well, all I could say is I know you guys just want them to do well. So we hit ratings bonuses. I'm actually a fan of the team. And I was, I was very happy yesterday evening as they, I just thought there were some good signings. None of them are big. I would say up the, how many was that? I mean, it's pretty big. That's, I mean, he was a premier past russure. Fair enough. I would say for me, the ones that move my needle, my personal needle. Yeah. Okay. It would be Chenol. Chenol. Chig. And then you'll lesser extent cross. Yeah. Okay. Those, those four are ones that that personally move my personal

57needle about halfway down my body. Right. Yeah. Chig got me the, got me the most stirring. Yeah. Is the way I'll put it. And then if they started bad day for Ben Senate, yesterday, not a good day for Ben. Yeah. But nothing really changes. You know, what do you mean nothing changes? They're bringing a guy who basically plays his position that's better than him. Yeah, rugby. It's going to he hasn't had an opportunity really to be so nothing really changes. It's going to be the same thing. That's not much of an opportunity. Go to be the same thing. Well, he might be cut at some point. Got a lot of doubt. They're kind of well, Bates is the blockers last possession guy. Remember, they had earth baits. I know. Senate and Colson or whatever. I kind of shrugged. I did see that the chick was mentioned also as a good blocker. I don't know why you don't want him to be such an entire blocker. You just want everything to be a tell that he's going to. I mean, my tight end to catch balls and not block. That's what he does. That's perfect. That's perfect job description. You've heard a grunk. I have heard. He blocked. I've heard of that first.

57You know, he blocked. Yeah, but you know, we did better caught balls. Okay, but he still blocked. He's doing a little bit. Can you work with the bit a little bit? You're relentless with it. Yeah. That's what I do. It's annoying. More than relentless. I can say it in a way, but that's fine. That could be my brand. Yeah. All right. Come out next. We're going to talk about a naked intruder that is in the area. I know. Terrorizing residents in a certain neighborhood here in the DC area. We'll get into that next and don't forget Ryan Wilson joins us coming up at eight. We'll talk. And I fell draft with him at eight a.m. here on the Junks. You boy, Bish from the junkies.
