That's commuterconnections.org. Juboi Bish from the junkies and when I needed a new HVAC system water heater and a sump pump I called Foley Mechanical. Dan Foley, the owner, came out himself. Not some faceless company owned by private equity. He owns 100% of Foley Mechanical. He takes pride in every job. His crew? Top notch. These guys know exactly what they're doing, especially with older homes and radiator heat. They crushed it at my house. They will for you. Foley Mechanical serves DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Proudly installs a Manna HVAC equipment. Call Dan Foley. He's the real deal. Remember you can join us today at Parsity in Arlington. You can hang out with the junkies from 4 to 6 p.m. You can beat for prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin with their indoor golf sims. Here's the address. 3102 Columbia Pike in Arlington. We expect to see you there today starting at 4 p.m. It should be a good time. May actually be dressed nice because we have a photo shoot here at the station. That is correct. First time, I guess, Odyssey has done a photo shoot in many years.

Yep. We're slotted for 10, 15 to 11. Doing that post show. Can we finish by 10, 25? Is that group shots? Group and individual, I believe. Oh, really? Doing both. Okay. From what I've seen. Drops in a reminder to where logo lists close, which sometimes it's hard. I got a lot of, a lot of clothes with logos. It's just really well. I just saw them. I'm wearing like in the back. Yeah. I have a fuck down trip in my car. I'm just wearing golf clothes. I'm, I'm wearing, I'm going to take the hat off, wearing this. This is it. Yeah. This is it for photo shoot, poker, appearance. Oh, you're sliding poker in the middle. Like after the, after the photo shoot, you think I'm driving home and then driving back out to Arlington in rush hour? No. That's not happening. That will never happen. Yeah, it is going to be tricky. Yeah. The, the, when the league. So there's a lot going on. I'm staying in Arlington, but I have to drive Michael to the airport in between. But it's also day two of NFL free agents.

Yeah. Because day one, a dud for the commanders. There's a lot of people who think it was a dud. I can tell you this. I mean, I don't, I woke up this morning to this long message from my daughter, Kelsey, who's a rabid. So a lot of people thought it was a dud or your daughter thought it was a dud. No, a lot of people. Did you look at social media? I mean, I did see social media, but I mean, they signed one of the premiere past rushers. They made a big splash in that one. They extended the overall. Extended their own guy in tonsult, which is a big deal. That was expected. I think some people kind of expect it to sleep on that part that that's a major piece to their creation. I think people expected, as did I, expected another big splash outside of their way. It was a little underwhelming, but but maybe like you said before the show, they were trying to get some of these big names. Well, they did try, but it was reported that they, I think it's pretty well documented that they tried to offer Pierce a little more than when he got from the cults, but he was happy with, I just say you wanted to play with Daniel. He's always Daniel shows live. I don't know why you would select playing with Daniel Jones over Jayden Daniels. That's a boy for the next four years.

And then they went after that's weird. They said they, they made significant offers to Linderbaum, but I think they were outbid and they made significant offers to Phillips. They were just outbid. So, you know, and then some people were critical of what they gave Adafee. Is that how you see his name? Adafee all the way. Yeah, um, but you can't have it both ways. Would you spend money on yesterday? You're going to overspend. Yes. He's a young. Well, especially this had 17 and a half sacks. The last two seasons, especially when you were offered a bunch of money to other guys and they're trying to down. Right. Yeah, so it's just a tough spot that I think it was a little underwhelming to be honest, but I don't know what you wanted to do. Do you want him to just overspend? I don't know. If you want to chime in 1-800-636-1067, what were your initial impressions of day one? There's still plenty of time. There's still a bunch of guys on the board. Jason wanted to tray Hendrickson. He's still on the board. There are a lot of guys on the board. But what did you think about day one of the washing commanders as regards to away after joining the chargers? This is according to next-gen stats.

He generated the sixth highest pressure rate in the NFL, which was 17.3%. He led the chargers in total pressures with 37 and quick pressures with 12 in that span. But our buddies at Kruger put out some scary stats about the corner they picked up. Oh, I mean, Amick Robertson. Is it Amick or Amick? I've heard both. I heard Amick yesterday. Okay. I saw his PFF score for last year. It was like second from the bottom. I think it was like 110th out of 114 cornerbacks that were scored. Here are the stats that Zach put out. You can follow him at ZK underscore FFB. Robertson allowed the third most receiving yards, 817, fourth most receiving touchdowns, six, and fourth most reception, 65 among all corners last year per PFF. Mike Sanrestill allowed the most reception, 69. Second most yards, 859, and the most touchdowns, 10.

Well, maybe they feel like they're getting a better pass rush that might, those numbers might decrease a little bit. Yeah, and then I keep hearing that he locked down Justin Jefferson and he locked down Jamar Chase, which I have not gone back and looked at the film, but that's what some of the people who are backing this move are citing. I knew they were going to sign a corner. I mean, obviously they have to. No, I'm sure they'll sign more. I have two under contract right now. But it's not it. Robertson. I mean, Dorontay, that's his thing. I'm sure he's seen something there. He thinks he can work with. Yeah. I don't doubt the guy's going to be a stud, but hopefully they can find a way to make it work. I think it was an underwhelming signing. But I agree. But I never heard of the guy. I do trust Dorontay. And then Tim Settles been here before. Settles of whatever. That's another piece. He's been here. That's just a piece. He was here, what, four years? And then he bounced around and had a couple different teams. But the only thing's a big one. I mean, that's he was a top 10 free agent. That's a good solid piece. That's a good solid piece. But I expected another big splash. I think people wanted the commanders to be like the Raiders.

You know, like 10 big signings. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or the Titans, some of the dead. The Titans spent a bunch of money. Titans it too. But supposedly, I think they have about 48 million left that have the 88 million or whatever they started with. Yeah. So, you know, they spent a decent amount. They spent 40 some million, I think. Yeah. Half their cap, you know, the room is gone. I think if they had landed Pierce or Kenneth Walker. Oh, that would have been big. Or Rico Dowdell, people would have felt differently about day one. But again, it is just day one. If you want to chime in 1-800-636-1067, revisiting our predictions. And I don't know when we come to a resolution. Both Cakes and I had O.A. That's it. Okay, so we hit on that. We don't have to pick. Yeah, no one else here. You had Hendrickson, Dobbs, Briskar, and Dowdell. I think only Dowdell's off the board. Dobbs still out there, Briskar. So, Dobbs and Briskar still live around. Yep. I think mine are gone, right? You got a shot, right? E.B. took Phillips.

He's gone. Linder bomb gone. Quay Walker. Gone. And a Conwell. I don't know about that. He's gone. Oh, he is. I believe he's gone. That happened after I went to bed. I just missed it. All right, thought I saw that he's. No, no, no, I'm sorry. I think Jake is still out there. No, you're right. He's still available. Jake's still out there. I took O.A. They signed him. Joanne Jennings, who's still available. Devon Lloyd. I didn't see him. He signed. Yeah, he signed with the Panthers. Yeah, Panthers. Panthers, what are some of the fans? They do. They upgrade and cross out Kenneth Walker. And then Cakes, I can't remember all years. You thought likely, likely signs. I was a little crestfallen and likely signed with the Division Rival. Yeah. You got to play with Harbaugh with the Giants. I think you had dobs on your board. Yeah. You're still out there. You're still out of the way. And you had Linderbaum. Right. The Linderbaum numbers are kind of insane. I understand what the Raiders are doing. They want to protect their number one draft pick incoming quarterback with a young, probably best center in the league. But to pay that, pay that 27 mil plus per year.

Yeah. Other teams, I'm sure we're like, OK, we'd be OK paying him 20 to 22 million. We're not going to go where the Raiders are going. So he wants a big. He's a perfect time for him to be a freebie. Yeah. I think if they're able today to sign in Jawan Jennings or dobs or brisker or like a Rashad White or maybe they get a conwo the tight end. You'll feel a little bit better about things. I think it will. I mean, well, why am I getting this name mixed up? A conwo the chick. Oh, a conwo. Yeah. It's a conquo. OK, it's not conwo. I don't know what you're saying. I'll say a lot of these names are butt hard for me to take a conquo. A butt hard for me to to pronounce. A Daufe oh way. A lot of you guys now. You got to learn to say him. He's easy. Yeah, relative to a lot of the names out there. Right. And you know, they could sign another quarter like Nishan right from the bears is available. It's a bunch of safety. When they signed five interceptions. Was he a day one signing? I'm not sure that he was.

It was a pretty impactful signing first day. It was the first or second day. I don't think Ken Law made it to the second day of free agency last year. Who's a day one guy? I think so. I mean, it is kind of crazy. If you look at the top 50 free agents, I mean, most of those are gone. Right. They get picked through pretty quick. Real quick. But I think, well, dobs are still out there. John Jennings is still out there. I still have a couple of receivers. I do believe that they're going to come to some sort of agreement whenever he's available with IUK. So I don't know. We'll see. It just maybe that's their plan. And they're going to stay away from the freebie free agents. Or they plan to draft a receiver in the first round. I think that's possible. Which was my original plan. I've, you know, bounced around with ideas. And that I think you need a young speedy receiver who's ultimately going to take over as the number one. They offered pierced 30 million a year. So they were definitely in the market for a receiver. They were all in. Yep. That's a pretty pretty big commitment for guys. I'm like 50 balls. I'm fine on missing out on the.

I don't know if gimmicky is the word. But the fact that I understand he's averaging 22 yards per catch over the last two seasons. But he's never even had 50 catches. Yeah. So it's hard for me to. All right, but come on. I had around. He had Anthony Richardson thrown to. I know. I know he hasn't had the best quarterbacks delivering. And Daniel Jones. I understand. With Jonathan Taylor in their office. I'm okay with them paying less for a guy like. I'm kind of okay with Jennings. You would have been helpful. I'm in half of the market for pierced. They clearly wanted them. They're going to offer 30 million a year. They were in the running. They were. They were nice to have them. They know they need another receiver. They're well aware. I think they're going to sign one. And I think it's totally up for grabs. What they do in the drive. They could. You're right. Yeah. Interesting that they didn't. I think I guess the. I think some people that cover the team like Ben and some of these guys think that they are interested in bringing back Rodriguez. Which, you know, it'll help fill the room. They got one right now. I think he's a if we miss on all the other guys, we can just tender him and get him back. Even if you sign somebody, you could still sign it.

You know what I mean? Like he's a piece. He's not a centerpiece. So who else did they offer? They see Linda bomb didn't didn't get him. They fill up. They didn't get him. Yeah, they wanted to fill up. And they offer pierced even more than what we got in culture. So they offered three of the top seven for you. Right. Imagine if they landed those. Then you'd be having a totally different perspective. But what does that tell you? That tell you now the pierced. It tells me they want to spend some money. Is it sure? Some people were saying, well, it's too cheap. Trying to cut a deal. It's a you got to thread the needle. It'll be always 68 million guaranteed. Like how's that being cheap? They get they make it a messenger. They made tonsil like the highest paid offensive linemen in the league. If they offered pierced 30 million and he took 20. What did he take 28 29? Yeah. I mean, they offered him more money. Yeah, you can't blame him on that. Yeah. And then you don't want to pay a center 20 million. I get it. They don't want to pay a center 20 million. People are acting like free agencies all of sudden over after day one. You have to just win day one.

But let's let's win the days two, three, and four. So the top three agents still available. Include Trey Hendrickson. I'm looking at a board on CBS. I'm not going to go after him now. The next guy on the list is Colour Murray. Don't need him. Chiquant brisker safety from the bears. Maybe he's kind of intriguing. Maybe. Yeah, I'm up with to it. There's a tackle at number 20 at number 22. Treek Wollincorner from Seattle. Maybe. I would be interested. They've got a bunch of safety. Safety, right? Nick Cross, then dobs who we've talked about. Yeah. A linebacker from KC, Leo Chanel. You know what? If they, if they land a guy like Clavon Cheson from the Patriots, kind of an underutilized edge early in his career who came on late, that'd be a quality signing. He'd be if they don't add a linebacker. Probably Wagner. Maybe back. Maybe a devastating. I mean, that would really truly be devastating. All right, I want to hear from people. 800, 636, 1067. I know I was out on the golf course and I was just checking.

You know, every couple of holes just checking. Type in a command or check, check, check. What's going on? What's going on? Right. And just not a lot going on. Not a lot going on. Let's go to. Were you disappointed when you weren't seeing names? A little bit. Yeah, because the first, well, the first name we saw was Robertson. That was a small deal. Yeah, yeah. That was like almost inconsequential. I'm not mentioning they resigned Marcus Mario to bring that down on your video. That one actually, I might have bogied that hole when I saw that. Andy took a slight pay cut. I think that was a, that was just a dud signing. He's a, he's a quality backup. Yeah, he could go one in nine for you when he plays. Well, if he plays 10 games, then it's, then it's curtains anyway. Right. Well, whatever it plays, whatever one in nine is, just whatever that winning percentage is. You're really down on Mario. He's, he's not good. He's, he's a, you don't think he's a quality backup? I don't like guys that go one in nine. Okay. So it doesn't matter to me. You label whatever you want. He couldn't execute a play.

He could make some positive plays and he could make some killer plays. He's not good enough to carry a team. That's a fact. I mean, I'm not saying he's good enough to carry a team. But a lot of guys, they could go up to the line of scrimmage and call a play and execute a play. That's about where he is. I'm fine with it. I mean, because he's, he knows Jaden. He's good with Jaden. He's good in the quiz. It's probably amongst the better backup. If any backup is playing, your season's bad spot. I'm talking about a starter. That's fine about backup. That's fine. Yeah. He's not very good. Give me one word to describe the first day of acquisitions for the Washington commander. I would say underwhelming. Solid. I would say underwhelming. I think it was solid. Mine would be disappointing. You upgraded the offensive and defensive lines. I consider the tonsweller done deal. That will help you know, I don't know how great he is. Yeah, the tonswell deal. The tonswell thing. I was going to stay a free agent. That was a no brainer. I mean, it was a given. They were going to get him. Everybody expected it. Yeah. They didn't know. They got it done. And they gave him like top of market money. Yeah, good. I'm glad he deserves it. I guess you have to add that in. Yeah, you guys are some tough graders.

Well, I mean, that wasn't anything new. What's your one word, Jason? That's not a new toy. Surprising, probably. No, that is cakes. That's like repackaging a Rubik's cube and giving it to me. I already had the Rubik's cube. Okay, you just gave it to me again. I'm christian. But we gifted it by the way, somebody could have come in and got your Rubik's cube. You'd open up an empty bottle. And by the way, and he didn't answer because my question was, what do you think of the first day of acquisitions? He's not an acquisition. They give an extension. Oh, he was the guy that already had it. It required him. This is semantics. No, no, I'm asking you. It's not semantics. I'm asking you answer. The day of acquisitions. The acquisitions were still stolen. It got a premier pass runner. Which is something they desperately needed. You know what that is? It wasn't even a bicycle. It's like a skateboard. All right, I like away. But I don't think he's a premier pass russure. On the market, he was a premier pass russure. Okay, premier pass russures are Miles Garrett. Okay. Jay watt. All right, but those next level, those guys available could they go out and sign Miles Garrett? The answer's no. No, they got a top 10 free agent.

Yes. He was in the top 10 in every free agent list. Correct. He's a premier free agent and they landed him. I'm just telling you he was. I know you're not that excited about it. He's on the side. And you needed an edge guy. You needed a, I think it's fine. Look, I got him. That was my picks. Again, six highest pressure rate. During his time with the chargers, which was 17.3%. But I would agree with you that under one, whatever word you want to use. I think under one, I thought that they would go out and get another top 15-ish guy. And they didn't yet. All right, let's go to Mark. And all those guys are pretty much gone, unless you're going to go after Hendrixson. In DC. Mark, what's up, buddy? You're all the junkies. How are you? Hey, good morning, Junkside. The one word I would choose is patience. I kind of like day one, especially at the Washington film on the guys who drafted and guys from Detroit commenting online about how the corner back we got, we really got hung out the dry last year because of injuries.

And in a nickel, he's a dog and he's a fighter and he's a really good guy in the locker room. He's willing to go in there and make shit. But he got hung out last year which made him go through here. I'm willing to buy that to an extent because again, I think Toronto is a cornerback secondary whisperer guy. If he targeted him, I trust that he sees a way he can utilize him. Mm-hmm. So I trust that. Yeah. And let me ask you guys your opinion on this. I think the reason, and think about all these guys who were sitting here who didn't get picked up, you say. They didn't get contracts. And they're, you know, they go by, you're not getting contracts, you wouldn't take whatever comes all for tea. Yeah, you can still get some good prizes. There's no doubt. Yeah, there's still some quality out there at the point. For sure. I agree. And maybe you get a little discount, day two, day three, day four, whatever. Yeah. Fair. They want all the money. It's fair. But I do think that those of us that were expecting, hey, we got 88 million, we're going to blow it out here and we're going to get, you know, it's going to get back to the early 2000s

which just didn't happen. It could have. They gave them, they did. Here do they went after that receiver and Indie though. And they gave, they offered him more than what Indie did. Then at least I know they were trying. I can't hate, I can't fault them for that. I did, I do have a sense in me that believes that they had signed in for 30 million a year. That would have come back to haunt us. I just have a feeling. I'm not convinced he's a premier wide receiver. He's a premier deep threat. Yeah, he's not a premier guy. But if they had given him 30 million, it was the perfect time for him to be for agent because there aren't a lot of guys. This is perfect. I'm not timing by him and his camp. I mean, he put up good numbers, even though it didn't put up a lot of, a lot of catches, but it was a perfect year for him. It's a big chunk play. Because there's another lot of, a lot of another, you know, big name receivers. Perfect time for him. With numbers are going to go up because they, they moved on from Pittman, right? It's right now and Pittsburgh. Which is wide open for Aaron to come back. Let's say Debo's still out there. Yeah, I think I'm going to lose my Debo bet.

And I'm, I doubt, I owe JP money because I, I bet that Malik Willis, I got over 30 million. 30 million, a little bit. Yeah, you got over 20 million. Yeah, it ain't good. He didn't quite stiff the 30 mil. So let's go to Greg in RESTIC. Greg, what do you think? How would you describe yesterday? Day one. Morning, boys. I'm underwhelmed in the sense of this organization's liberty, pretty tightened up since Peter's got there. And obviously, this narrative of them being aggressive was on purpose. And I think if you're going to put that narrative out there, you have to go and win an out of peers. You have to pay him enough to take over his love for Indy or outbid the Raiders for Linda Bond because when you're so bereft of blue chip talent and you've been dealt with hand with what Romero left you, eventually you have to start spending money. Because at this point, what Mark was saying is left over is you're back in the cycle of old guys two year deals and you're going to have another 40 million dollars of cap left over. You're going to have to roll over more. You're just continually building the cycle where you're not really replacing any talent with or with a hold with any of your talent.

or call 800-745-RIDE. That's commuterconnections.org. You boy, bitch, from the junkies. And when I needed a new HVAC system water heater and a sump pump, I called Foley Mechanical. Dan Foley, the owner, came out himself. Not some faceless company owned by private equity. He owns 100% of Foley Mechanical. He takes pride in every job. His crew, top notch. These guys know exactly what they're doing, especially with older homes and radiator heat. They crushed it at my house. They will for you. Foley Mechanical serves DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Proudly installs a mana HVAC equipment. Call Dan Foley. He's the real deal. Yeah, always a good fit for them. They don't only have an athlete on the edge like that. But again, there were so many holes going into this all season. And now if you look at the landscape, it's you have barely any draftics. You have, you know, $80 million for the cap with a bunch of old players left on the free agency list or very underwhelming players left on the free agency list. And so you don't think they can salvage it. You think the die is cast. No matter what they do today or tomorrow,

it's going to be underwhelming. I'm not going to say the die is cast because I guess there's always opportunities for trades and things like that. But again, no, but up the free agents, you're not impressed by any of the available free agents. At this point, I don't think there's enough free agents left for what the money they went into the offseason with to go capture stuff and still holds in free agents and then creating the other one with the obvious. I think the die is cast and you didn't fulfill enough with the $80 million you had out there to fix what you needed to fix. You might be right. What if they picked up brisker? He's 26. What if they picked up brisker at Joanne Jennings? Yeah, or dobs. We got another receiver and another safety. Do any of those guys scare you though if you're a defender? No, but I think they're good pieces. Yeah, I mean, we're not coaches. We don't know if they're good or bad. Brisker was listed as a top 20 free agent heading into. I mean, Jennings is a, he's kind of a possession guy, but he's good. I mean, he runs good routes. He's a really good blocker. Good, I mean, he seems love. I mean, I don't, does he scare you? I'm a receiver. Does he scare you?

No, but it's a need. Jennings is available. Dobs available. Stefan Diggs is available. I feel that you're running through that cycle of guys that are kind of just mid-tier guys. Yeah, you know, you have like, you might be right. Yeah, you're probably right. You might be right. You might be right. I even did one more blue chip guy. I think to really at least send the signal they're like, all right, at least. You know, yeah, they are trying, but you had to win one of these bids. It seemed like they came in second a lot, based on reporting. And you know, there's still opportunities. Did you want to begin? I don't know. What did Linda bomb end up getting? 27 million sprinting. 81, 81 total. You got 27 million here. You're not going to pay a cent or 27 million here. And I think it's all pretty much guaranteed. I mean, I think they would have. He blew the interior alignment market. I mean, 27 million a year for a center. It's insane. Yeah, that's crazy. Can you be when you talk about that center money, though? If you think about it, you're thinking about it in the macro of the market. And where everybody else is paying center, you need to think about it into what this.

No, I know we need one. They were dealt with. I know they might have confidence. And I look ready playing center. Oh god, I don't know. No, they were in the running. They just weren't willing to go to 27. They're going to find a lesser guy. No, they wanted a premiere one. But they weren't willing to go to 27, which I can't blame them. Nope, trying to be somewhat fiscally responsible. If they inside him to 27, they'd be getting murdered. I was listening to Grant Danny. And Grant said that he had talked to some people within the organization believe that said they didn't think there was that much of difference in Biotic and Allegretti. I agree with that, actually. So they can't blame it a pinch, but I do think that they want an upgrade. They cut Biotic. All right, coming up next, we're going to dive into J-Grudan's tweet regarding the commander's free agency moves and what those moves may mean for their top draft pick in April.
