0:00On April 26th, Washington commanders GM Adam Peters snagged running back K-Tron Allen at pick 187 overall in the draft. This day three move adds a much needed power runner to a backfield full of shifty types like Jacobi Kroski, Merritt, Rashad White, Jerome Ford, and Jeremy McNichols. The team lacked that bruising presence for tough yards between the tackles, and Allen fits the bill perfectly from his Penn State days, where he delayed the load last season. Experts see this as a smart pick-up if they use him right on early downs, parrying his north-south style with the speed and versatility of the other. Backstab balanced new offensive coordinator David Blues' attack. Allen joins a loaded room behind quarterback Jaden Daniels, and he's fired up to compete right away, building on Peters' success with late round. Backstab last year. With this addition, the commander's ground game gets tougher, keeping defenses guessing and boosting the whole offense as training camp heats up.
