Commanders' Defense Revamped with New Talent

0:00On March 29th, the Washington commanders are totally revamping their defense after finishing 27th in points allowed last season. General manager Adam Peters went on a shopping spree, grabbing new talent across the board to fix that weak spot in DC. Up front on the line, they signed Odafe Owe, Kalevon Cheson, Tim Settle, and Charles Omanihu. At linebacker, they pulled off a coup by snatching Leo Chanol from the Kansas City Chiefs. In the secondary, Akella Witherspoon, Amique Robertson, and Nick Cross are now wearing burgundy and gold. Coach Dan Quinn is hyped about the changes, but one big name is still in play, 35-year-old Bobby Wagner, whose contract expired. Quinn says he'd love to bring back the six-time All Pro, who could still ball out. They've also got Frankie Lovu locked in, plus fifth-round pick Jordan Maggie from this year and sixth-rounder K. Medrano next season. Quinn sees those young guys ready to explode. With all this firepower incoming, the commander's D could finally lock it down and turn heads
