Colts Sign Arden Key for Pass Rush Boost

0:00On March 9th, the Indianapolis Colts just landed their first outside free-agent, signing to tackle their biggest roster gap. They've agreed to a two-year deal with defensive end, Arden Ki, worth up to $20 million. This move targets the past rush after losing Ki production. Ki, who turns 30 in May, steps in as a rotational edge-rusher. The team could lose around 1,500 snaps if players like Quitte Pay, Samson Evocom, and Taikwan Lewis to part. Over the past three seasons, starting for the Titans, Ki racked up 16.5 sacks and 38 quarterback hits. He proved reliable early on with more than 700 snaps each of his first two years there. Injuries slowed him down last season, though. Aquadriceps issues sideline him for four games early, and a hip problem kept him out of the finale, dropping him to 449 snaps, four sacks, and 11 quarterback hits. With free-agency heating up, expect more moves from the Colts to rebuild that defensive front and stay competitive.
