Colts Seek Pass Rusher in Draft

0:00On April 8th, the Indianapolis Colts beefed up their defensive in spot with two free agent signings, Key and Clemens, but they still got a big need. Heading into the 2026 NFL Draft. Those ads give some rotation depth, kind of like what Evacom and Lewis brought before. But the spot opposite Laya 2, Latu, stays wide open for a true starter. Right now, the team is banking on guys like JT Tumalau, Key or Clemens stepping up. But that's no sure thing. General manager Chris Ballard wanted a high impact pass rusher to pair with Latu. The landing one, without a first round pick, is tough. Last season, the Colts ranked 30th in ESPN's pass rush win-ray, so they desperately need more juice of front to pressure quarterbacks. With a couple day two picks in their pocket, their iron prospects like Illinois's Gabe Joccas, who's got over 40 pressures the last two years. Alabama's LT Overton for his run-stopping power.
