Colts Re-sign Kicker Blake Grupe for Stability

0:00On March 9, the Indianapolis Colts resigned kicker Blake Group on Monday. The 27-year-old free agent joined the team last December and played in the final five games of the 2025 season. He went perfect on all 11 field goal attempts and all 10 extra points. Group showed serious range during that stretch. Four of his field goals came from 50 yards or longer. That included a franchise record 60 yard kick that put the Colt ahead late in their week 15 win over the Seattle Seahawks. He started on the practice squad before moving up to the 53 man roster. Group stepped in after Michael Badley, who had taken over for injured kicker Spencer Schrader. Schrader heard his knee in the week 5 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders. That sideline him for the year, though he earned AFC Specialteens Player of the Month, honors back in September and remains on the roster. With Group A locked in, the Colts now have stability at kicker heading into the off season.
