Colts Lose Key Linebacker to Raiders

0:00On March 16, the Indianapolis Colts have lost veteran linebacker Segun Alubi to the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency. The 26-year-old spent four seasons with Indy, mostly shining on special teams. Alubi racked up 11 special team's tackles last season, forced the fumble, and blocked a punt in a big win over the Raiders. He also blocked one in the 2024 opener against Houston, and hit at least nine tackles each of his three full years there. While he was a core special teamer, under coordinator Brian Mason, Alubi rarely saw defense action. He started once in 2023 for an Inter teammate, but played just a handful of snaps since then. This move adds to the Colts linebacker's shake-up, with Zaire Franklin now traded to Green Bay, and started to remain Pratt still looking for a deal. As free agency rolls on, Indy faces a full rebuild at the position, leaving fans wondering who will step up next season.
