Colts Host Georgia State WR Ted Hurst

On March 27, the Indianapolis Colts are bringing in Georgia State-wide receiver Ted Hurst

for pre-draft visit. And nearly six foot four and two hundred and six pounds,

this 22-year-old stands out with his rare mix of size and speed, making him one of the

more intriguing prospects in this draft class. Hurst put up strong numbers over the last two seasons,

nearly cracking 1,000 receiving yards each year with 9 as 61 in 20. 24 and 999 this past season.

He also scored 15 total touchdowns in that span, showing his knack for finding the in-zone.

NFL draft analyst Greg Kasill raved about Hurst's tape on the Ross Tucker podcast,

calling him a standout despite playing at a smaller program.

Kasill highlighted his stride length and ability to catch cleanly on the move,

turning short grabs into big gains after the catch, even if he had a few drops.

At the NFL Combine, Hurst earned a relative athletic score of 9.90 out of 10,

including a blazing 4.42 second, 40 yard dash. That athleticism lets him create explosive

plays down the field or in open space. With the Colts trading away Michael Pittman recently,

they now have a clear need for receiver depth, especially to push for that number three spot.

Hurst could bring the competition they're looking for as they build out the position group.
