Colts Draft George Gumbs Jr., Boosting Defensive Line

Gums switched sides of the ball back in 2023, going from offense at Northern Illinois to Ed Drusher, then transferred to Florida for his final two college seasons. This 6'4-245-pound Chicago native brings solid production, with 11 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, and 98 total tackles across 45 games. At Florida alone, he racked up 66 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 14.5 tackles for loss in just 22 games, showing quick growth after his position change. Now at 23, Gums heads to Indy ready to disrupt quarterbacks, giving the Colts a fresh pass rush option straight out the gate.
