Colts Acquire 7 Draft Picks, Target Depth & Special Teams

0:00On March 10, the Indianapolis Colts now holds seven picks in the 2026 NFL Draft after picking up two compensatory selections and trading for an extra spot. This boost comes at a good time as they bill for the future without a first-rounder. In the deal-sending Y receiver Michael Pittman to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Colts swapped a seventh-round pick for a sixth-rounder, giving them more flexibility later in the draft. They traded away their original first-round pick, the 16th overall, to the New York Jets for cornerback sauce gardener. Another sixth-rounder, the 196 overall, went to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for cornerback Mecky Blackmond. Their current lineup includes the 47th pick in the second round, 78th in the third, 113th in the fourth, one. 156th in the fifth, and either the 214th or 216th in the sixth from those compensatory picks courtesy of the Steelers. They wrap up with two seventh-rounders at 249th and 254th.
