Cole Reschny and Keaton Verhoeff Join the Show!

On hour two of Flames Talk, Pat Steinberg is joined by a pair of elite prospects and former Victoria Royals teammates who spent their freshman seasons together at the University of North Dakota, 2025 18th-overall pick Cole Reschny and top draft prospect Keaton Verhoeff! Reschny chats about his transition to college hockey after putting up 35 points in 36 games, and Verhoeff dives into his freshman year and the very real possibility of reuniting with Reschny in Calgary next month.

Beyond seeing former fan favorites Rasmus Andersson and Noah Hanifin chase their first championship, there is huge draft capital on the line. The guys break down the trade condition from the Andersson deal: if Vegas wins the Cup, Calgary’s 2028 second-round pick automatically upgrades to a first-round pick.
