It's April 3rd, from your city to your ears. This is Dallas News Today, powered by AI. I'm Cory with the story. A former high school coach in Texas just got hit with a 30-year prison sentence for trying to coerce a minor into sending nude photos. Kenneth Wayne Mokey, a 44-year-old ex-fable and track coach at Sabinal High School near San Antonio, pleaded guilty last summer to, attempted enticement of a minor. This all went down in October 2024 when Mokey messaged what he thought was a 14-year-old boy on Snapchat, identifying himself as, a 40-year-old coach, and asking for explicit picks. Court records showed his phone data placed him just 40 meters from the school campus at the time, and the next day, he even sent the kid a graphic. Photo of himself along with more explicit messages. Law enforcement zeroed in, quick, arresting him on January 31st, 2025, after a solid investigation that exposed how he abused his, position of trust around kids.

Cases like this remind us why vigilance matters in schools. Predators can hide in plain sight, but justice systems are stepping up to lock him away for. Good, stay aware out there.
