John Jean Rich, Hi Claire. Hello. What's up? So, my husband and I, when we were dating, we like both agreed that we wanted to have kids like someday in the future, you know, when we were married and more stable and things like that. But, as, you know, time has gone on, we've both kind of been backtracking a bit. And like, oh, there's like really, you know, like small reasons that like are adding up to like this big decision, right? You know, the economy, the state of the politics right now, and honestly, I wasn't exactly sure that he was feeling like the same way I did until we were watching the news one night and like afterwards, he like mentioned that he didn't know if like having kids was like the best idea with everything going on, and I was, you know, and more and more like I feel like our couple friends are also deciding like similarly and it's, you know, not definitive yet.

Obviously, like things could change, but it doesn't seem like we are going to do that. Like, we're not going to have kids, and it's a little sad because I kind of always imagined that I'd be a mom, but I just don't know if I would feel light bringing like a kid and do everything that's happening, and I do know, I think that that's just becoming like more common, especially like with people, I don't know, in my circle at least. Do you have a question about that or just making a statement? I mean, it was, it's more of a statement, but I guess like, do you, have you noticed that as well? Like, is it just me and like my friends or like, does this seem to be kind of the way that people are going, and like, how do we, I don't know, maybe change things? Well, let me, let me, let me, let me give you my opinion real quick. So I have three kids, and I love having kids. I think it's fantastic. But just recently something happened where I thought, if I didn't have kids, if I didn't

bring kids into this world right now, I would have so much money. It's true. They are so much money. They are just a drain of your bank account. So don't do it. Oh my gosh. If I could do it again, I wouldn't do it. It's crazy. They're great, great, great. Love having great. That's fun. That's all to do over again. Forget it. So much money are your every, yeah, they aren't, but they cost so much money, but it's like worth it. It's like the best money I've ever spent. The reason to add to my life. Okay. Forget what's going on in the world. They cost a drain your bank account. Oh my goodness. But so do dogs. So do other things. I feel like I wouldn't do dogs either. Would you still get married? Would I get married? Let's see. If I had the income I have now, no. Wow. Wow. You're so full of it. You're so full of it. I think your life would be like you would actually be. I mean, you're just looking at the spreadsheet right now. Every disease that exists. Well, yeah. I think it would like Claire, I was thinking about when you were saying that I was thinking

about that too. It's like, I don't know that you're ever ready to have kids. If you look at like, oh, what's going on in the world? There's always going to be some nonsense going on in the world and you're never going to be totally ready. But for some reason, when those kids get here, you just get ready and you just handle it. And it's awesome. I just go for the the life ride that is life because it is awesome. I have this conversation with my friends all the time. Have this come because it's like a lot of my friends want kids and want them now. They want the white picket fence. They want the husband. They want the picture. Perfect thing. And then I got a couple of friends that are like, I don't want any kids, but I want my man. I want to travel the world. I don't want to do that. I feel like now like Gen Z specifically, like the older end of it, like me. I feel like we kind of just go with the flow. Like I feel like we're having babies a little bit later, modern medicine is allowing us to do so. You know, so I feel like whatever works for you, even if you decided you didn't or you did wanted to do it before, I feel like whatever happens happens and what's right for you is right for you. It's not perfect for anyone. Seems like you're kind of bummed about that though. Like your husband's like far on the you, he doesn't want them and you kind of did.

Did I pick up on that correctly? I mean, we both seemed like we both agreed that we did and then we both were like, maybe this isn't the right idea. And I don't know, maybe I was hoping that he was going to like, I'd talk me back into it. And then instead, he was like talking me out of it more. And so I don't know, I guess like, there's just needs to be some more conversations. Yeah, definitely communicate about that because I mean, that's something that you definitely want both of you to be on the same page about. And also if you're not, that could be a relationship breaker. Yeah. The only reason John Jay so quiet is he's planning out his kid free wife free money. I still have a wife right now. I slipped away. I did. I slipped away to a family fantasy thing. I thought it would be hanging out just helicopter. All right. Well, thank you, Claire. Thank you. Here's the truth.
