It's April 25th. This is MLB News. Today, powered by AIUR, you're around the diamond update. I'm Cory with the story. Cincinnati Reds just put third baseman Eugenio Suarez on the 10-day injured list with a low-grade oblique strain retroactive to April 24th. The option right-hander Kyle Nicholas to triple A and called up outfielder J.J. Blitte plus right-hander Jose Franco to fill the spots. The injury popped up after Suarez got scratched from a game with back to comfort, but managers say it's not too bad. They're hoping he shuts down briefly, gets re-evaluated, and jumps back into baseball activity soon, maybe returning as early as May 3rd. Reds fans know the team scraping by offensively. Suarez hitting just 231 with three homers in 100 played appearances, Keybrien Hayes. And a brutal 0-8-1, and outfielder's plus catcher Tyler Stephenson, all struggling. Still, Cincinnati sits at 17 wins and 9 losses, ranking low and scoring, but pulling

off gritty victories. But days tearing it up in triple A at 345, with six homers in 23 games, earning his first big league shot with the Reds. He's not a straight swap for Suarez, who's been mostly D.H. anyway, with Hayes locked in a third despite the batwows. Nathaniel low stepped up big last night, smashing a walkoff to run homer. His second of the game for the win, and he'll likely grab those extra D.H. At bats, while Suarez heals, Reds keep rolling no matter what.
