Cincinnati Edges Utah in Big Twelve Tournament

Jalen Celestine led the bearcats with 19 points, including 5-3 pointers and 2 key free throws in the final seconds to seal the victory. Mustafa Tim shipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds while Boba Miller added 11 points, 14 boards and 6 assists. For Utah, Terence Brown scored 22 points and nearly carried his team with a late scoring surge that got them within striking distance. The bearcats have been on fire lately, winning seven of their last nine games, which has given their NCAA tournament chances a real shot in the arm. They face 8 seeded UCF next on Wednesday, after splitting their regular season matchups. Utah, meanwhile, wrapped up a tough year with five straight losses and just two wins in their final 20 games. One kept them competitive, but Cincinnati's free throws down the stretch made the difference.
