Cincinnati Basketball Lands Tylen Riley

0:00On April 22nd, Cincinnati men's basketball just locked in Gar Tyler and Riley for the 20-26-27 season. First year head coach Jared Calhoun dropped the news this week. The Las Vegas native comes over with one year of eligibility, left after stints at Cal Baptist and Tulsa. Riley bounced from Cal Baptist for two years straight to Tulsa last season, where he stepped up big time as a starter in every single one of their 38 games. Coach Calhoun is hyped, calling Riley the ultimate competitor with crazy growth on both ends of the court. He says the guy lights up the room and always finds a way to win. At Tulsa, Riley put up 15 points and 4.4 assists per game on average. He earned second team All-American Athletic Conference Honors and newcomer team nods, dropping double figures 31 times and hitting 20, or... More and 8 games, including a 20-piece against Auburn in the knit title game. He topped the conference and made free throws at 203 and shot 87.1% from the line.
