Choir's Power Tower Songs for Hospice

0:00On April 29th, a choir from Kent's Institute Collective just dropped two choral tracks recorded inside a cooling tower at Rackliff on Sora Power. Station, turning it into a charity, single for Rainbow's hospice for children and young people. All proceeds had straight to the Loughborough Bay Spot that's cared for kids in the East Midlands for over 30 years. Uniper gave them special access to nail that epic, echoing sound. Composers, Huey Gavin and Vince Pope sparked the idea after news hit about the station closing down. They crafted the pieces as a musical nod to the towers, capturing their vibe before demolition kicks and toward the end of the decade. The choir's director called it an honor to blend beauty and acoustics into something lasting that funds the hospice. Meanwhile, Rainbow's music therapist raved about the haunting tracks, perfect for therapy sessions where kids layer in their own voices and... instruments during outreach. This marks the power station team's final push for Rainbow's after 20 years of fundraisers totalling over 185,000 pounds.
