They helped the United States win gold in the team event at the Milan-Cortina Olympics in February, then took silver and ice stands. Now, they're wrapping up their season and hinting at retirement after strong performances there. This move is pretty common for Olympic skaters and they join teammate Elisa Liu in pulling out. Worlds kickoff March 24 at the 0-2 arena in Prague, Czech Republic. Chock and Bates finished a close second to a French pair amid some judging questions, but they say they gave everything they had. The duo leaves as legends with seven U.S. national titles, three grand pre-final golds, and podium finishes at the last four worlds, including three. Straight wins. They've talked about stepping away for years, feeling their Olympic runs made the season complete.
