今年6月底的夏季达沃斯论坛开幕式上，中国总理李强在致辞时，为中国经济回升向好做信心背书。不过客观的数字却让市场乐观不起来。6月份制造业连续三个月萎缩，非制造业疲软，5月份的年轻人失业率也再破20%创新高。

由于信心和预期不足，消费者有钱也不太敢花，导致中国经济更是欲振乏力。中国经济是否应该让人担忧？低迷的情况还要熬多久？政府是否应该推出大规模的经济刺激配套？

China's Premier Li Qiang painted a positive outlook for the domestic economy at the opening address of “Summer Davos” in June this year. 

However, market optimism is low, given the underwhelming data released. China’s factory activity shrank for a third month while the non-manufacturing sector was at its weakest since COVID reopening. Unemployment rate among young people has also surpassed 20%.

Consumers lack confidence and are reluctant to spend, which further weakens the Chinese economy. Is China’s slowing economy a cause for concern? How long will this sluggish situation last? Should the government implement large-scale economic stimulus packages?
