Childminder Arrested in Nyla's Drowning

She was under the care of a new childminder who had taken her to a nearby park that day. Police initially thought there was nothing suspicious about her death, but after digging deeper into what happened leading up to it, they arrested a woman in her 30s on suspicion of gross negligence, manslaughter, and child neglect. She's been bailed while they keep investigating. Nyla's parents share their devastation online, calling her their whole world full of love and the brightest smile. The tragedy has rocked her family, friends, and the whole community around Donkaster. An inquest revealed Nyla slipped to a fence gap towards some woodland by the golf course during the outing. The childminder reported her missing around 9.50 am, and searchers found her face down and unresponsive in the pond before rushing her to, hospital, where she couldn't be saved.
