Chiefs Trade McDuffie to Rams for Draft Picks

The Kansas City Chiefs have traded star cornerback Trent McDuffy to the Los Angeles Rams for a package of draft picks. This move was first reported by Adam Schefter on Wednesday afternoon. The deal sends Kansas City a 2026 first round selection at pick number 29, plus a fifth round pick, a sixth round pick, and a 2027 third rounder. McDuffy looks set to ink a long-term contract with his new team. Drafted in the first round by the Chiefs, back in 2022, McDuffy quickly became a stand-out with two Super Bowl rings under his belt. Over 56 starts, he racked up three interceptions, 34 passes defended, and 246 tackles. Now he gets to link up again with assistant coach Jimmy Lake from his University of Washington days. Richard Mahomes showed his shock on social media with a short reaction. Fans and analysts see this as a big shift for the Chiefs defense.
