Chiefs Trade for Draft Ammunition, Jab Broncos

0:00On March 4th, the Kansas City Chiefs just made a bold move by trading cornerback Trent McDuffy to the Los Angeles Rams. In return, they picked up a first-round choice, a fifth-rounder and a sixth-rounder in 2026, along with a third-round pick in 20, 27. Before the deal, Kansas City already owned selections in the first four rounds plus two fifth-round picks for next year. Now they're loaded with ammo, heading into the draft, giving them extra flexibility to build for the future. That Rams first-rounder slots in at the 29th spot overall right ahead of the Denver Broncos at 30th. It's a direct jab at their division rival, as the Chiefs hold the ninth pick from their own spot while jumping the Broncos in the late first round.
