Chase Claypool's NFL Comeback Bid at Packers Camp

0:00On May 1st, Chase Claypool, the former second-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2020, is gunning for an NFL comeback. He's showing up at the Green Bay Packers mini-camp on a trial basis, looking to revive his career as a wide receiver. Early on, he flashed Big Potential with back-to-back seasons over 800 yards receiving in Pittsburgh. But things went south in 2022 when the Steelers traded him to the Chicago Bears after just eight games. The Bears invested heavy cash, but Claypool managed only 18 catches for 191 yards and one touchdown in 10 games with five. Starts. Then in 2023 with the Miami Dolphins, he saw nine games but hauled in just four passes for 26 yards. Last year with the Buffalo Bills, he didn't even make it past training camp before landing on season-ending injured reserve. Now the Packers, already stacked that white out, are eyeing some veteran depth, though nothing's promised for him. We'll see if Claypool can lace him up and turn back the clock in Green Bay.
