Charles Omenihu's Massive Frame Joins Commanders

0:00On March 25, Charles Omanihu is bringing his massive frame to the Washington commanders after signing a new deal. Standing six feet five inches and weighing 280 pounds, he bolted up big time during his college days at the University of Texas. He started out at 230 pounds as a freshman, but packed on 45 pounds over time with intense training and non-stop eating. That hard work paid off with his rare physical tools, including a seven foot wingspan from his 36 inch arms. Those long reaches helped him dominate in college, where he led the big 12 conference in SACs during his senior year and earned defensive lineman of the year honors. Earlier this year, Omanihu bounced back strong from a tough knee injury. He tore his ACL in the AFC championship game back in early 2024, missing the Super Bowl and most of that season.
