About this episode
A Charizard Cheeto sale just broke records -- some Pokémon fan dropped a staggering $87,840 on a single Flamin' Hot Cheeto shaped exactly like Charizard at Goldin Auctions, instantly snatching the Guinness World Record for the most expensive videogame likeness corn snack ever. This three-inch cheesy dragon went from some guy's bag years ago to eBay for $350 then straight into collector Valhalla in a fancy display case -- yeah, the Pokémon hype is so cooked that people are out here treating a Cheeto like it's a Shadowless 1st Edition card. 0:00Would you pay $88,000 for a Charizard-shaped Cheeto? Because apparently one fan did spend almost that much money and it's a record-breaking amount of money spent on something like this, according to Dexterdo. They said the fan spent $87,840 on this Cheeto-shaped like a Charizard and now he's in the Guinness World Record books. So it's the Cheeto-zard. It's a Legend of Cheeto-zard. It dates years back. So there was a Georgia shop called First and Go Collectibles and apparently they bought this back in years ago, in 2018, and somewhere between there and they had it laying around, they forgot they had it. So when they're cleaning out the store, they found it. And it's a Cheeto that looks like Charizard. It really does. We're dragging for that matter, whatever. And they, you know, they preserved it and all that. When they first bought it, it was back in... They said, it was only one of those years. But they only paid $350 for it.
1:01So they paid $350 for it back in the day. And now they sold it for $87,840 to a collector. I just can't run my head around that. So the Guinness Book of World Records said a die-hard Pokemon fan has claimed the curious record title for the highest price paid for a video game like this corn snack. Apparently they had categories for everything after spending almost $88,000 on a single Cheeto. Featuring the firey dragon's distinct wings and tail, the eight or three inches eight centimeter long chip, three inch chip, mounted on a custom Pokemon card bearing the Cheeto Zard name. It was enclosed in a special translucent box just in case any viewers got a little too hungry. Cheeto Zard first went viral back in 2024. When the store posted a photo of their fine, which they acquired, and preserved some time in that four-year time they don't remember when. Reported in the owner, Paul Bartlett found the Cheeto in eBay and purchased what we had a picture we should talk about. So this is insane to me. But go him the person that spent it.
2:02If you have the $88,000 to burn, I mean why not burn it on a Cheeto? What do you think? Do you think this is crazy? Comment and let us know.
