The Los Angeles Chargers made a big move on Wednesday by releasing three offensive linemen and tight-ends. Guard Mecky Bechton, tight-end will-disly, and tackle Savion Washington. Reports had hinted at Bechton's departure earlier that day, but the team acted fast. In his only season with the Chargers, the big linemen appeared in 14 games, but dealt with injuries and struggled on the field, prompting the club to seek better protection upfront for quarterback Justin Herbert. Will-disly joined the Chargers before the 2024 season and had a solid year with career bests of 50 catches for 400, 81 yards while starting eight games. Things fell off in 2025, though, with an injury sidelineing him early and healthy scratches later, limiting him to just 11 receptions, for 97 yards over 9 games.
