CBS Evening News Dips Below 4M Viewers, Losing Ground
About this episode
CBS Evening News faces a ratings crisis, with viewership dropping below four million for the third consecutive week. Tony Dokoupils show saw a one percent overall decline and a three percent drop in the key demographic compared to the previous week. Year-over-year, the show experienced a two percent decrease in total viewers and a twelve percent drop in the demographic. These numbers mark the second-lowest April ratings for the show this century and the worst ever in the demographic. Critics blame CBS News boss Bari Weiss for alienating the remaining audience, contributing to the networks larger crisis. Meanwhile, ABC World News Tonight with David Muir maintains its lead, while NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas holds second place.
