Let's get an update here, Brad, because we got plenty of the top teams in the country in action right now, prime time conference championship week games going on. Let's start with the number one team in the nation, the Duke Blue Devils. They're getting all they can handle from the Florida State Seminals who able to hold off Cal last night in their first game of the ACC tourney, and remember Duke playing without their starting point card Caleb Foster, who may or may not even be ready for the NCAA tournament,

3:08and without their starting center, Pat and Gongba. What's going on right now? We got a tie game under Florida going the first half. Yeah, 343 remaining right now in the ACC tournament, all nodded up at 35. Every time that Duke is attempting to go on a little spur, a little bit of Iran, Florida State has landed a counter punch. They're shooting our Seminals of 50% for the floor, six at 13 from three. I've only got the free throw line four times, crashing glass with 10 rebounds, though Duke right now absolutely killing them in terms of rebound differential plus 13 at the present moment in time, but Duke only five is 17 from distance is under 30% shooting, though 46.2% for the game in the dookies. The dookies maybe have left a lot of points of the charity stride. They're six of 14 from the free throw line. That's an abhorrent 42.9%. Again, Florida State Duke tied up at 35. Now, you and I right after the game that tipped off,

4:09I told you that I had taken a Florida State on the old line of plus 15 half and a plus 105 juice there at bed MGM. I honestly felt going in this game that what does Duke really have to play for? Nothing. They're going to be on the one seed line regardless. You could say, yeah, well, Michigan wins out of the big 10 tournament. Could they jump then? Well, Duke also owns the head ahead match up there. They may not jump them. They could be locked in right now. Possibly, Arizona could jump all the way up to the one of ones. If they run through the big 12 conference tournament, that's a scenario on the table, but Duke's going to be one seed recordless. Let's be real. Let's be frank. Knowing that Cam Booser, they want to make sure that he is going to be fresh, going to be ready. Knowing that Caleb Foster is out for the foreseeable future. Most if not the entire NCAA tournament with that fractured foot and also in Gongbot, not in action, as he is dealing with a foot ailment of his own. Maybe John Shirepry games said, boys, go out there,

5:15give it your best. If you fail, you fail. We're going to be fine. We got to get healthy. We got to get arrested because we got bigger fish to fry. That is chasing a national championship. So that's why I'm back Florida state. On top of that, too, the semifinals have been exceptional the last couple of weeks playing their best basketball the entire season. They have linked, they have athleticism. And tonight, my God, they are splashing and splashing with conviction from outside. Again, 3535 Duke and Florida state three, 43 to go in the first half. Yeah, I'm switching between that game. And then I just had on Houston and BYU. Let's get an update there. Big 12 tournament quarter final number five. Houston, BYU now unranked. But we know that how good they can be even without their second best player, Richie Saunders, who's done for the year. They're going to be in the tournament. And I have to get another look at AJ DeBonza, who I think right now is the number one pick in the NBA draft. I mean, you and I have both

6:16soured on Darren Peterson is committing earlier in the season in terms of playing. And now has just hasn't flat out played very well here over the last couple of weeks. Houston leads BYU right now, 31 28 with 315 left to go in the first half. AJ DeBonza, 14 points already, five rebounds to assist on four of eight shooting. In the first round against Kansas State, he put up a 40 burger and nine rebounds and six assists. Last yesterday against West Virginia, put up 27 points to go with seven rebounds. And he's already got 14 here with still a couple of minutes left to go in the first half against the Houston Cougars. What's that stake here for both of these teams? Houston, you and I both think there's no shot. They're getting a one seed pretty much locked into with two. Am I correct on that? And then what is it's what is that stake for BYU if they are able to win this game? Yeah, look, I think Houston more or less is borderline locked into that number two seed. Let's say hypothetically, I would say wins of the big 12 tournament.

7:18There could be an argument where I would say then jumps a line. Pending upon well, Illinois does the big 10 tournament. Pending upon what Michigan State also does in the big 10 tournament. They're just ahead of Iowa State. And again, I would say right now in the 3 seed line. So there is a scenario that if Houston were to step their toe in this game, and I would say could run rough shot and Illinois, Michigan State failed that maybe Iowa State does jump a line and Houston could maybe slide a line. That's on the table. This game's going to be close. That's how Houston plays it typically against top level competition. I say, well, BYU hasn't exactly played at an elite level. And that's true. Offensively they have been. They've been a top 20 all offensive terms of effective. Fugal percentage offense in terms of adjusted offense efficiency for the better part of last 30 days. Offensively of very different story outside the top 275 EDFGD over their last nine games. So far again, 31 to 30. Houston is up with 231 to go in this first half. The Cougs are shooting 48% for the floor, but only one is six from downtown. And

8:23that's been an eye sore for them is putting both of the basket consistently. That's why they crash the glass. They get those second and third chance opportunities religiously because it makes up for their shortcomings overall. Offensively outside of Kingston Flennings and Flennings only has four points and two of five shooting in this first half so far. And then you look at BYU. You mentioned to Bonsa. He's up to 16 points now. Five rebounds, two dimes. It doesn't have a steel yet, but usually good for a couple of neck category BYU. Stalking it better from outside, three of six from downtown. They're shooting 42.1% for the game. The biggest key in this and why BYU has been close so far, Pat, is that they're 11 to 12 of the charity stripe. So they're getting downhill, largely AJ to Bonsa, who seven of eights on those freebies. And that's what he does best attacking the rim, getting after it in the paint, drawing contact, sometimes getting those and ones. He has to be the number one overall NBA pick. That guy is going to be a multi time all

9:24star for years to come. And as I was speaking, BYU just tied it up 32 apiece to 14 to go on the Q cent will ultimately win this thing, but probably within like three to six points margin-wise. So if you want to bet this lie right now, BYU was catching five and a half points currently in the live line at bedmgm. And then finally, let's go to the garden. Biggie's tournament quarter final number six, Yukon, the number two seed in the Biggie's tournament, laying the Smackdown on the Xavier 50 to 30 right now with a couple of seconds left to go in the first half. This is the Yukon team that we were hoping and expecting to see for the last couple of weeks. And we just didn't. We haven't gotten their best for quite some time now outside of where they smashed St. John's. You know, they lose to Marquette in the final game of the regular season. And as of this moment, it probably cost them a number one seed in the NCAA tournament. Can they get it back, Brad? You and I both think Florida's probably going to win the SEC tournament. But let's say the Gators get knocked out before the championship game. And Yukon goes on to win the Biggie's tournament.

10:30Does that mean the Huskies could grab the one seed? Is there any scenario where Yukon can jump back up to a number one seed here after this weekend? No, it's not going to happen there. They're going to be on the two seed line. You can almost rubber stamp it. You can almost port and cement. I think inevitably that is going to be the case. You know, assuming they don't have a complete, complete collapse against the X-Men and they probably won't. The biggest key in why they've been so successful in night balance scoring. A terrorist read is showing up and showing out. He's got 11 Alex Keraban, a guy of very esteemed history with this program. Obviously, a legend, a living legend at Yukon. He's got 11. The first half solo ball. Oh my god, he's making shots. Now he's only two or six in this game, but he's got 10 points. And that guy has been wildly inconsistent when they could put it together. And I know Xavier is like the sisters, the motherless poor, but if Yukon can put it together, they can hang with anybody in the country.

11:31The problem is, you know what side of the bed they're waking up on every single morning before the game. They're just so erratic, so undependable, unreliable. And this is why I think they're a very vulnerable number two seed. Again, assuming they're going to be there and again, I think it's like a 95%. Certainly they're going to be called out as a number two seed on selection Sunday. If you're a seven seed, if you're a 10 seed, that is the team you want to see in your section of the bracket as a two seed, because if Yukon does wake up on the wrong side of the bed, they are going to get bouncing folks. I think it's going to happen. Oh, oh, baby. Yeah, well ran a terrorist read by the way. He's got a double double in the first half. 11 points and 10 rebounds. Yeah. And by the way, Brad, I got to say we shook our heads and discussed at it before the tournament began. I'm watching these big 12 games. I don't mind this court. I really don't mind the court. It's very subtle. They kind of shine a nice little LED light around the

12:35perimeter when somebody hits a three-pointer, which BYU just did. Alexa cost it. Is it two in the last minute here? I don't mind the LED light court. I look, I could change. People can change.
