Casper the Friendly Ghost Returns in Live-Action Series

0:00On April 29, Disney Plus is bringing back Casper the Friend the Ghost in a new live-action series. It's coming from the same team behind the Goosebumps show with writers Rob Letterman and Hillary Winston on board. Letterman is also directing and they've got Steven Spielberg producing. The same guy who exec produced the 1995 Casper movie. Deadline says it'll have a dark twist, kind of like when they did with the Adam's family. Casper started as animated shorts from Paramount back in 1945 through 1959 with over 50 cartoons. Then Harvey Comics took over, pumping out comics and five animated series up to 2012.
