Capricorn Moon Focus

About this episode

The Moon slides into Capricorn at the start of the day and suddenly everything sounds simpler: stop drifting and start finishing. That shift matters because the wider vibe still feels like late Pisces season, where time blurs, attention scatters, and the outside world can feel surreal. We use this daily astrology forecast to pull ourselves back to earth and ask a blunt question: what’s real, what’s noise, and what actually deserves our energy today?

We talk through why Capricorn Moon energy is so useful for productivity and focus, especially when Mercury retrograde in Pisces is in full effect. Communication can get weird, plans can jump around, and tech can feel like it’s running the show instead of serving you. Our antidote is practical and repeatable: internalize your ideas, reduce distractions, and commit to completing the work you start. We also touch on how listening is an often-missed part of communication, and why visual aids like charts can make complex astrology concepts easier to grasp.

Then we take a turn into the subconscious: those stressful work dreams that mash together every job you’ve ever had, the feeling of being blocked, and the surprising message underneath. Sometimes the fix is not pushing harder, but backing off just enough to let an intuitive solution land. We close with a quick cultural note, a recap of the day’s keyword and color, and a reminder that focus is a practice you build daily.

If this helped you feel more grounded, subscribe, share the show with a friend, and leave a review. What’s the one task you’re choosing to finish today?

0:00Hey everybody, Shane here, dailyastricat.com and today is Thursday and it is the 12th of March. So I'd like to welcome everybody watching this for the first time if you are watching it for the first time because this is something we do all the time for astrology. It's daily astrology and it follows the moon pretty closely. So it captures the moon of the day and I do this every single day. So make sure you come back every day for all of my old friends out there. Hey, how are you? Let's get going. So Thursday, the moon is going to enter Capricorn at 1237 in the morning, very, very early. And it's a great time to get down to business. Capricorn moons are organized, practical and very business-like. Okay, so this is telling us that, you know, this is kind of like telling us, hey, time to get thinking about some things, right? We've got just about a week left in this Pisces season. So here's your little reminder, right? Now, isn't it feeling more like a fever dream with each passing day?

1:01I mean, seriously, all the stuff going on in the world out there and everything like that? And it's really like we're living in someone else's nightmare at some points. And will there be a reckoning ahead for all the things that are happening externally? We just don't know. Now, but the stories out there, they're very sparse. And if you look at your news, it's mostly like stuff to distract you because the propaganda is just staggering. All right, so look, for us, for all of us here, you folks watching me, it's time to get back in touch with reality. And what better time is there to do that than with the moon and Capricorn? Got weather warming up, we got the migratory birds coming all around, different calls. I have the Merlin app for my phone and Robins are out there. I haven't seen them, but they picked them up. They picked up some Robins, there's some crackles and starlings. The migratory birds are coming out, red-winged black birds, another migratory bird.

2:03I'll start to come back as well as the winter stalwarts, right, the chickadees and the cardinals and the titmice cell. Anyway, look, and they're all out there. They're all out there just singing along because the daffodils are starting to push up to the ground. A little bit of warmth does wonders, right? So now, what is there that we have to do with this moon and Capricorn? Well, fully embrace what you may have learned over the course of yesterday or over the course of a couple of days. That idea is begin to build up inside of you rather than tug at and distract you. That's right. Just internalize them, be disciplined about it. Don't go chasing every little bunny rabbit or any little distraction, except for the one that's out in our backyard that eats all the stuff. Well, I think we have deer too. Got a bunch of trees that got their bark stripped on them. It was a pretty hard winter, though. I've got to tell you, there's like little monomous trees back there that they chewed and they got one pretty high, too. So I don't think the bunny stood on another bunny's shoulder to do that.

3:07So look, let your ideas, to begin with distractions, right, just follow them. It doesn't finish any work-related tasks that you start today. I've almost said starting today, but it's what you start today, yeah, just finish it up. Today's key word is focus. You wouldn't know that from listening to this, would you? Anyway, and the color is mud, that's a good one. So the sudden Pisces is having a grand time. Deadlines were previously needed to keep us on task, to keep us from wandering, to keep us from going far afield. Now that we had the moon in Tapakorn, it seems to me that the shifting nodes in the split eclipse is somehow diminished that power of the full moon in Virgo. So those deadlines that we needed, let's think about this for a second. Now the eclipse dampened the practical and the analytical, and allowed for the sun to

4:11cover the earth in shadow. This effectively kept the moon in Virgo in the dark. If you feel like we're being led down an unknown path, then that's probably why. One of those reasons, right, we're trying to use innovation to get over it. We're trying to use that little bit of our uniqueness, as far as a way of expressing. But for right now, we're kind of like just in that Pisces mode of trying to move forward. So we have Mercury retrograde, which is also causing us lots and lots of, lots and lots of thought issues, especially with Mercury and Pisces, because Mercury and Pisces is in fall. And it's a very intuitive sign, but it's also, what's a good word for it? It's intuitive, but it's not, and it's non-linear. In other words, it doesn't go from A to B, it jumps all over the place. And those are distractions that we need to be getting under control.

5:13Now, the whole tech thing, that's getting out of hand too, if they only had news items about this, right? Although I did see there was some massive hacks somewhere, so it's just, yeah, tech is getting out of hand. And we need to try and confront work issues through technology. In other words, things that have been holding us back personally, we need to figure that out. And if you're doing it creatively and you're finding that it's holding you back, yeah, because the two paths, they're basically the same path now. We're not differentiated between work life, home life, or even creative life. We're just trying to take it all from a higher vibrational level, but that is getting pretty hard because we can live in that vibrational level and just be like, oh, everything is just fine. I'm going to go outside today and just enjoy the birds and clean up the yard and stuff. Well, there's other things that have to be done. There are other things that we need to do. So this is allowing us to try to get around to getting some of that stuff done.

6:18Now slow and painful is that technology may seem. Trying to work through it is going to serve us a little bit better as we get going, especially in a week's time. We're not going to have a murky, a murky will be direct on the 20s as well. So we'll start going back and being able to review, revise, and figure out what we need to do to do things differently to be more effective as we, especially in relationship to communications, and our perception of what others are trying to tell us, because communication is a two-way street, our senses, our listening senses. That's one of our senses. A lot of people forget that, especially if you're in a business where you need to talk all the time, you also listen. Now speaking of listening, I didn't get very many comments from folks today. So I can't really call anybody out. I get the usual thank yous from a couple of folks. Evan, you're always good for that. Rebecca, you're always good for that too. Interest, Trish, you are very good for that too. So I appreciate all those comments, but let's keep in common.

7:21I like the deeper ones too when we get into more discussions about the astrology. So now words, if they're not connecting very well, look, find some visual aids to help you with to get the job done. Just like on the long ones, the ones that highlight a moon or perhaps a season, I include charts and stuff. Those are visual aids. Those are there to help you see exactly what it is I'm talking about. It gives you a visual, it gives you the visuals, it shows you what the aspects are and what they look like and what the 60 degrees and 120 degrees and 90 degrees all look like on an astrological chart. And also with say like a grand trine or something like that, we have two together or a yacht. So what's a yacht finger of God, sex style, two and conjuncts, right? Now do you ever have work dreams?

8:23Do you take it really weird, right? I mean, this just bizarre. It just melds all things you've ever done, the more experience you have, the older you are. Oh man, those things get kind of crazy. Anyway, it doesn't go too far back though, at least in my mind, it doesn't, I don't know if anybody's ever had one that's gone way back, but I don't think it has, it hasn't done that for a while. Look, the subconscious, that's a funny thing and it sometimes it gives us messages and stuff like that. So it's really interesting when you're, when you're actually actively dreaming and you're looking at your dreams and you're interpreting them, you know, we all just tend to do that, right? You know, you'll Google that. What does that mean? I'm just being chased by this or something like that. I don't ever have a very few chase dreams or something like that. Usually they're pretty mundane. The work ones are the worst though because it's like there's something that you keep on trying to get through and you just can't seem to get through it and that's, that's

9:25some form of blockage there and it just really is trying to just work through whatever it is. And really what honestly it really means usually is to just not focus on it too much. So that way you can get that intuitive little burst of inspiration to actually overcome whatever that is. Now I'm not suggesting that you, you know, purposely set out to dream about work tonight. But what I am suggesting is that you want to consider practical ways to get our business game on and grooving just a little bit of it. Even if it's your creative business, that's what you need to do. So you know, I love composers and Vincent Indy is one of the, one of the new ones that comes up quite a bit on playlists and stuff like that. So in 1897, Vincent Indy's opera Fervol premieres in Brussels. And our birth today is James Taylor.

10:28He's 78 years old today born in 1948. He's an American singer-songwriter and a guitarist. You know him for fire and rain. You've got a friend shower of the people, lots of things right in my mind. I'm going to Carolina. Yep. That's it. That's what it is. He's born in Boston, Massachusetts and that's all I have for you. So thank you for joining me. Thank you for coming by. I hope you make it a habit. We do this every day. Yes we do. So do all the nice things. Share it. Like it. Subscribe to it. Put it on your notifications. Go to the website. You can find it in the bios and stuff like that. Join the email list. That's a good thing to do too. Let's recap. The color today is mud. The keyword is focus. Today you think it would be better but we're not used to it because we can't really focus with that. Pisces with the sun and Pisces and the mercury being retrograde.

11:28Today is a four. Happy AstroCatting.
