Capitals Unveil Cherry Blossom Jerseys for D.C. Night

The Washington Capitals are marking DC Cherry Blossom Night with special jerseys during their game against the Ottawa Senators at Capital One Arena. Players arrived wearing these custom sweaters, created by local artist Taylor Campa Olsen from Washington, DC. The designs keep the team's classic crest up front, but add cherry blossoms surrounding the capital building for a fresh local twist. Fans can bid on the jerseys through an all-mind auction to benefit the monumental sports and entertainment foundation which helps community nonprofits make a bigger difference. The auction runs from Wednesday until March 27th at 3pm. Eastern time, right as the cherry blossoms hit their peak bloom next week, with extra celebrations planned at the game.
