The Calgary Flames picked up their second win in a row, beating the Florida Panthers 4-1 on Friday night. Dustin Wolf was solid in net with 24 saves, while Victor Oloffson notched his first goal since joining the team. Oloffson arrived in a trade deadline deal that sent Nazine Codry to Colorado. Joel Faribi, Morgan Frost, and Matt Coronado also lit the lamp for Calgary, each now tied for the team lead with 16 goals. Florida got on the board through AJ Greer, but their goalie DeNeil Tarasov took the loss after 32 saves, his 6th defeat in 7 starts. The Panthers set 13 points out of the Eastern Conference Wildcard spots, fighting to avoid becoming the first repeat champ to miss the playoffs. Since Los Angeles back in 2014-15, tensions boiled over late when Greer hooked Conor's Erie and shoved him into the boards, earning ejection with 846 left in the third.

Zary needed time but skated off with the trainer, and Calgary capitalized on the power play. Florida's Nico Mikaela also went down with a scary left knee injury in a collision. Calgary has now won seven straight home games against the Panthers, whose last win there came in February 2018. The Flames hosts Tampa Bay on Sunday, while Florida welcomes Seattle on Tuesday.
