Caleb Wilson Out for Season, UNC Faces Duke

The 19-year-old standout underwent surgery and expects clearance in time for the NBA pre-draft process. He was just nearing a return from a broken bone in his left hand. Wilson had sat out since February 10th in a loss to Miami, missing the Tar Heel's last six games. His absence hurts with the ACC tournament and March Manus on the horizon. In 24 games before the first injury, he put up 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and solid. Defense with steals and blocks each nine. Meanwhile, North Carolina has gone 5-1 without him. The team holds a 24-6 overall record, 12-5 in conference play as the number 4 seed. They face number 5 seed in the quarterfinals on March 12th, but first comes the big rivalry matchup against Duke on Saturday at 6.30pm, Eastern Time.
