On March 10th, 5-star shooting guard Caleb Holt has committed to the Arizona Wildcats. The 6-foot-5 prospect from Huntsville, Alabama, picked Arizona over finalists, Kentucky, Alabama, Houston, and Providence. Ranked as the number 4 overall recruit in the class of 2026, Holt made the announcement earlier this week. Arizona now has two commits for that class, adding Holt to four-star small-forward Cameron Holmes, whose rank number 35 nationally. Holt plays at prolific prep in Florida and brings a strong resume, including three gold medals with USA basketball. Kentucky pushed Holt for Holt since last spring, with an in-home visit in his official trip to Lexington in September. Coach Mark Pope saw him as the ideal replacement for guard Otega Oway, who's out of eligibility after this season. The recruitment heated up into a close race between Arizona and Holt's home state Alabama program. In the end, Coach Tommy Lloyd Squad landed the McDonald's All-American.

Kentucky still has no commitments for 2026, as another elite talent slips away to the Wildcats. Recruiting battles like this, keep things exciting heading into the off season.
