Teams rushed to the scene, promising to restore service safely and as fast as possible with an initial estimate of 755 pm. Residents in neighborhoods, like Holyrood, faced the biggest disruptions dealing with no lights or heat during the evening rush. Many turn to updates online to track progress amid the frustration. Good news followed soon after, as engineers got power back to large sections of the grid. By around 7.25 pm, the number of affected homes dropped sharply to just 767. Electricity Northwest continues working through the night and with their track record on these fixes, full restoration looks likely before too long.
