0:00It's April 26th. Welcome in. This is NFL News Today, where the league meets AI. I'm Cory with the story. The Buccaneer shook things up in round six of the NFL draft by trading up with the Raiders to snag Titan Bauer Sharp from LSU at the 100. 85th pick. It's the first deal between Jim, Jason Lyst and his former protégé, John Spitek, now with Vegas. Sharp's coming in as a raw athlete to battle for that fourth Titan spot right away. Sharp started as a no-star quarterback recruit from high school in Alabama, landing just one offer at the FCS level. He swished to Titan after a year, building up as smaller schools before transferring to Oklahoma and then LSU. His college stats topped out with 42 catches for 324 yards and two scores in his best year, though production dipped. Laley, and nearly 6'5 and 253 pounds, Sharp lit up the pre-draft testing with a 4.6340 yard dash, a 35 inch vertical and top agility numbers by a 7.053 cone that earned him a
1:05solid 9.16 relative athletic score among Titans. He's a quick mover with smooth body control, great as short routes and blocking on the run, plus tons of special teams snaps under his belt. Still a project, though, with room to grow on routes, blocking consistency and ball skills. He'll push guys like Devon Culp, Payne Durham and Co-Keeft in camp. Bucks fans get some legit competition at the position without big risks, betting on that rare athletic pop and grit to maybe turn Sharp into more than, depth down the line.
