Yes, we're looking forward to this as well because at the book in they've got a big charity event happening celebrating the 3rd birthday but also a fun run or walk. Yes, 5.5 kilometres right across Clive Roadtown and you can get vaulting this as well because we're looking forward to this as we're going to be doing a live broadcast on the 5th of April as well. I went out to the book in last night to speak with April and Steve as well. It were two of the organisers and April told me all about what it's going on on that date. I was started out as the idea of doing it as a birthday party but to increase the community involvement because we are a community based pub. We wanted to involve everyone from every walk of life so why not do a charity walk, charity run in 8th of the charities that we're supporting on behalf of, as we said, Steve's family

28:36and the charities are quite close to my heart as well personally and I think everyone's affected particularly by dementia at some point in some way. It just seemed like the best way to celebrate not only the pub's birthday but to also raise funds because of the ties of Steve to the charities so it just seemed like the best way to go about it. Tell us a little bit about the two charities. People are unaware of them in particular and I know it's close to both of your hearts as well so tell us all about who you're supporting on the day. Okay, so the first charity we're supporting is dementia UK. Dementia has affected my family, my grandma and my granddad and more recently it's affected Steve's family with his mum and the second charity is Incephalitis International. Steve will be able to tell you more about Incephalitis. He's got more deeper personal ties to Incephalitis. Yeah, it's a brain information disease essentially. It affects neurologically in quite a few different

29:43ways. He's essentially a stroke epilepsy, MA or kind of chute together as one and unfortunately I lost my sister 16 years ago to that so that's the tie with that one. Absolutely. So charities both close to your heart as well and the idea as well was it running idea? Did you think so we need to do something special in particular your third birthday as well here in Clibbro? Well, the idea was to do something for the third birthday. We did something for the first birthday, second birthday and with it being the third birthday we wanted to do something else but kind of sat together and kind of drew blanks really on what we could do that we haven't already done until April kind of came up with the charity deal with that. Yeah, I like that on a jump on that. I mean it's all good having a birthday party but the birthday party draws focus to the pubs third birthday whereas doing it for charity it draws focus to everyone affected. So it just seems like it's not just a celebration for us here having

30:50a third birthday it's a celebration for all the locals that have supported us over the past three years. We want to get them involved and give something back as a thank you more than anything else allowing us to be able to be here for three years. Absolutely because you both, I mean Steve, I know your dad was passing the original book you know it could be in the 90s so to speak as well wasn't it? You've actually grown albeit so to speak as well haven't you? Yeah both parents run here circa 1989 to 91. So yeah I grew up in here I would say that will make me 12 11 12 to 13. So yeah remember it really quite well to be fair he's changed quite a bit but not a ridiculous amount that you wouldn't recognize it. But yeah there was a family history in a time so when he came up for lease he was like yeah I want it I'm on it quite and I didn't need to tell you fair move having an earth to get it. And ever since obviously you reopened for three years ago we're almost

31:52now is it? It is a smart to be being used. Changed so much isn't it 31st March you say that? Yeah I mean there's been a lot of things that we've tried. There's a lot of things haven't worked and but it's not through one of trying. We've got a nice core group of locals that come in and we've started to attract a lot of new business a lot of new football things like the quiz bingo the deal or no deal on Friday nights. So yeah did the charity thing we just more of a continuation on satin trying you know trying build more of the profile not just of the pub up but of our involvement in the community as well. Not too dissimilar, we will be running Deal or No Deal So there'll be raffles available for that again All proceeds going towards the charities So Deal or No Deal is going to be active We've got a raffle where we've had an unbelievable amount of support from local businesses We, you know, honestly hats off to everyone who is contributed towards the raffle and the silent auction We'll be named You can push the everyone, everyone will, everyone will get their credit And we've got lots of activities on for kids

37:28We've got two Easter egg hunts In the bear garden, we've got nice big bear garden We've got egg decorating competitions I've got my good friend Joe, she's coming and doing festival glitter We've got coloring competitions And then we've currently got Which are open at the minute As I said, the silent auction raffle tickets are available And there's a name the teddy bear, you can win a one-meet teddy bear And the jar of mini eggs as well Do you know, is she getting how many mini eggs are in the jar? Oh, excellent, the traditional game I mean, I've seen some of the guesses because I've taken parts of this as well with the mini egg game So one has had 1,234 Oh, such a wide, very wide range of like people have said And, you know, from the high thousands to the hundreds I personally counted them all so I know exactly how many's in there Did you actually do that then? Did you take all the mini eggs out and count them one by one? Did and can confirm that it's not been guessed yet Stop being guessed yet, there's been some close calls

39:31We'll publish it on the social media We'll also draft up a letter That we'll take around to every single business that has donated something as a thank you to them as well Obviously on all of the, on all of those sort of correspondence We will be putting the final totals that we've managed to raise But just on that in terms of local businesses Just the generosity of just the local people There's been a lot of just individuals who've donated their own collectible memorabilia Signed items, signed football shirts And stuff like that That people are just happy to contribute to the cause So I mean, that's the whole point of this place It goes beyond just the local businesses getting involved It's the local people and we try and give back as much as we receive And you know, it just seems to be really spiraling in such a positive way that it's a given take of just positivity and just mutual Mutually benefiting everyone involved Absolutely, yeah, absolutely And we're really happy to support this as well
