Bruce Pearl Backs Houston Cougars

Former Auburn Coach Bruce Pearl has grabbed the tension by throwing his support behind the Houston Cougars in the NCAA tournament. The Cougars wrapped up a solid 28 wins against six losses, falling short in the Big 12 title game. That earned them a number two seed, where they'll take on number 15 Idaho in the first round as they chased their first championship after coming. So close last year. Pearl made his feelings clear during the Selection Show coverage. He admitted media folks should stay neutral, but he is pulling hard for Houston's Kelvin Samson, who has knocked on the door of a title several times. Before, Pearl have been pushing for Auburn, now led by his son, to snag a tournament spot despite their shaky record. Instead, his shout out to Samson has charmed plenty of Cougars supporters around the country.
