Browns Trade Up for Austin Barber, Boosting Offensive Line

0:00On April 25th, the Cleveland Browns just traded back into the third round to snag Florida offensive tackle Austin Barber sitting at 105th. On the consensus bigboard, not exactly a panic move, but they wanted him bad enough to make the deal. Earlier in the draft, they grabbed wide receiver Denzel Boston and safety Emanuel McNeil Warren in the second round. Then they shipped out of the third for a 2027 fourth round pick, only to flip right back in for Barber. Barber brings serious college tape with over 2,700 snaps all at left tackle for the gators. Fans are buzzing if the Browns see him as a swing guy or even a guard switch. Either way, it caps a strong day adding speed and depth. Value might be a touch off on this trade up, but overall, Cleveland loaded up smart without burning future assets. They still hold 4-5 rounders at picks 146, 148, 149, and 152, plus the 7th at 2. Keep plenty of ammo to keep building this roster.
