Browns Trade Down, Chiefs Grab Cornerback

0:00On April 24, Cleveland Browns just traded down from pick number 6 to number 9, with the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2026 NFL Draft. The big shakeup came when the Tennessee Titans grabbed Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate at number 4, way off everyone's radar. Most folks figured the Titans would go defense, or snag running back Jeremiah Love, but Tate was the top wide-out available, flipping the script. Entirely, Browns fans wanted that prime playmaker early, and now they've got a chance to pay to Utah, offensive lineman Spencer Fano, at 9, the first one off the board. Meanwhile, the Chiefs jumped up to use that number 6 spot on cornerback Mansor Delane, who's some project as a steal. With as many as 6 wide receivers still carrying first round grades, Cleveland's back on the clock at pick number 24, loaded with options to, grab one of their targets. Trading down looks like smart asset management here, especially since Tate's off the board, and it might not haunt them like fans fear.
